                                         My third church visit
Boy what a crazy day it was yesterday.  Yes Jess had invited me to join her to go to her church like the last couple of times.  This time I was a little hesitant to go because Jessie's beloved David was in town and I didn't want him to think that I was intruding on his family.  I mean I am just the best friend of his future wife not technically family so I had Jess ask him if it was all right and sure enough he said it was fine so off to church I went. David asked how I was and I did the same with him.
For those of you who don't know David, he is a truck driver and is on the road a lot. He wishes he could be home more.  Before yesterday I have only met David once but it was really yesterday that I really noticed that he reminds me of my older cousin Billy on my dad's side.  Just by how he speaks, and how he jokes.  I must admit it made me smile seeing Jess and him together :)
You guys make a great couple.  Well anyway just like every other time everyone welcomed me with open arms.  One woman laughed and said
"We can't get rid of you, can we?" and she thanked me for continuing to come and smiled at me.  LOL The only thing that I can't seem to remember are these people's name's.  I wish there was a pamphlet with everyone's photos with their names printed so that I could work on them.  But sooner or later I'll get everyone's name's straightened out :)
But anyway we had the Sunday school class plus the mass and the sermon was about excuses.  Halfway during the sermon I wasn't feeling that great but I think it was due to that time of month so I didn't say anything.  I just figured eating some lunch would help but as soon as I got home I felt so light headed and so nauseous I had to lay down so blogging was out of the question.  I am happy to say that I am feeling better today.  There are a couple of times when a wave of dizziness hits me but quickly leaves.  I have a feeling it's due to that woman thing going on right now.  Thank goodness it's not Jess's wedding day LOL.  I better go.

                                      The M.S. walk experience
Well........ I did it, I walked the M.S walk and like I said on my last post it is an experience I will never forget.  My mom had dropped me off a little late so I wasn't able to get in the team photo but that didn't bother me because I don't look great in photos anyway but I was able to join Ashley and the rest of her team and be able to talk with them before the buses loaded up and transported us to our walking destination.  There were a couple people from our extended family there.  One was our cousin Jessica, and another was Ashley's nephew Michael and when I got on the bus I was joined by our cousin Charlotte who recently joined my blog.  She was the one I ended up walking next to all through the walk.
There were many people from different teams walking alongside us as well.  For the record we didn't have numbers like most marathons or walkathons.  When you checked in they gave you a sticker and on that sticker you put your name and the team or person you are walking for.  But anyway they also had these balloons that you could carry that said MOVE TO STOP M.S.  There were lots of kids and dogs  as well.  One family had a wagon and put their young children in and one woman carried her laughing daughter on her shoulders.  LOL that was funny to see because she kept on yelling for her mother to go faster so that she could be in the front :)
Well anyway like I said we loaded on school buses and the they transported us to our walking path.  So you know I thought it was 3 mile walk but it turned out to be a 4 mile walk.  Of course on the half way point there were school buses waiting for anyone who wanted to stop and there was water and apples and food all free of charge.  Overall it was a great experience and I thank Ashley for inviting me to join.  If you decide to do it again next year Ashley I am in!

                                     The final day of training
Wow I can't believe how time flies!  Tomorrow is finally the day that I will be walking in my cousin's M.S. walk and to find out if my hard work as far as my training as paid off.  For those of you who are adamant about watching the weather channel are probably thinking I am crazy for doing this because it is supposed to be rainy and cold tomorrow.  Yes the walk is still on rain or shine, Ashley put a notice on facebook letting everyone know who is coming.  Mom didn't seem to have any problem with it except with one thing rain protective clothing.
She said she is on the look out for a rain proof jacket.  I'll try and wear orange if I can feel something warm enough.  It's better to be warm than to worry about the color.  Like Ashley said an orange hat or bracelet would do.  But anyway today I will be walking so wish me luck, and wish me luck tomorrow I'll need it.  I can't back out after all the hard work I put in .
Of course it wasn't that hard of work because I walked around the neighborhood before hand and I walked 3 miles my second day shocking everyone but Hailee.  She believed I could do it from the beginning when I told her when I joined the walk.
"It's not like you are walking 17 miles you are walking 3 miles and the way you walk you can do it," she told me.  It should be quite an experience.  Stay tuned for an update.

                                       Receiving a very special postcard
Last night as I was watching America's Next Top Model with mom Nathan had came down stairs and dropped a post card in my lap.  I was really excited because only one person in our family sends post cards at this time and that is Ricky.  I think I told you this around valentine's day but he is in Mexico right now because he is in the peace corpse an he can't get on the internet whenever he wants and I don't even know the situation with the mail so the family gets excited whenever he sends postcards.  Ricky had started a blog but I don't know if he's going to continue. I don't know if he started it just to keep everyone informed of what it was like to be in Mexico not knowing what internet acess was going to be like or if he just doesn't have any desire or thought about it.  :D
Well anyway like I said on a previous post Ricky and I have a close relationship I even asked him to be my valentine and he agreed.  He said he was surprised that the boys aren't fighting over me in Ohio.  Well anyway the postcard had photo of the Mexican flag and in the letter it said it got voted the most beautiful flag of all.  In my opinion it doesn't get my vote.  Sorry Ricky :( Maybe it's colors but I think the american flag is prettier.
He only has months left before he can come home for good.  He says he will be done before Thanksgiving and he hopes to be able to come into town for Christmas and my birthday.  So that should be good stress relief for everyone, grandma has been worrying about him and is relieved when I tell her I talk to him through facebook.  In fact Ricky was one of the first to join my blog so thank you Ricky :p.  Well better get going mom just got home.

                                    Movie evening update
Boy what a fun evening we had last night.  As I said mom, grandma,  Katey, Joy, and I were having our dinner / movie night.  For those of you who are wondering if I was able to get down to the mall early to look at shoes that was achieved but Nathan was not the person who dropped me off.  James was the one who did it and it was exciting to take a ride in his new car.  I've got to say it's pretty snazzy and it was pretty neat to take a ride in it.
Well anyway when we got to the CLINIQUE counter mom had Joy took me to look at some dressy black sandals that mom and Katey had their eyes on.  One of them I had already seen because mom had text me a photo.  They were cute but I was afraid that they were going to come off.  I was about ready to give up totally on sandals and just wear flats when mom came over with the perfect sandals.  They have a back to them and they have a strap that goes across the ankle and it shimmers and they do sparkle.  Yes they so have a little bit of a heal but it's totally flat and I've walked around them enough that they feel fine.
So I guess you could say that would be the end of my list but it's not because as my mom was helping me put the sandals on she looked at my feet and and said,
"Heather you need a pedicure."  So I guess that's another thing I will be doing before the wedding.  Ahhhh when will it end? LOL.  Okay so anyway we ended up going to a new restaurant on the strip called Bone Fish.
The food was really good and of course grandma was there and we all had fun talking and catching up.  I found out some shocking news from Joy that came as a shock to me and in a way it made made feel angry.  Not angry at them but just angry at mom because I thought she knew about it for some time and had told Mark and everyone but it turned out I was wrong.  She just found out this news yesterday.  But anyway the movie was really good.  We had many additional faces join us at theater when we arrived.
I mean there are a few differences from the book but I'd expected that.  You can't expect the movie to be exactly like the book and it seems like people forget that.  Well anyway it was good.  I think I will be getting that movie for my DVD library.  So yes had a very good time.  I better get going.    Have a good day :)

An evening out with the girls
Has anyone had the chance to see The Lucky One yet?  If you haven't it's okay you still got plenty of time it just came out in theaters last Friday.  Both mom, grandma, and I have been aching to see that ever since we heard that there was going to be the movie based on the book.  Yes we all three had read the book because it was written by one of my favorite authors Nicholas Sparks.  For the record he has written books such as The Notebook
                                      A Walk To Remember and
Dear John and all three have been adapted into movies along with many others but there are other successful stories that he has written that haven't made it on the big screen yet such as The Guardian or The Rescue.  (The Rescue ) is my favorite book he has written.
I checked out Nicholas Sparks website and if you click on the book (The Rescue) it will give you what inspired him to create the novel and it turns out that it was his son who had this central auditory processing disorder (CAPD).  It is like dyslexia with the language skills instead of your reading skills so his son Ryan had an awful time speaking for a long while so his wife and him and had to work with him and now he says he's fine and is getting straight A's. :)  But anyway the main character has a son with a same problem and the main character's personality is a mixture on his and wife's.  I think the story also keeps me thinking of how it was for my parents  when I was younger when I was going through my testing and all that stuff, and I've got to say I am a bit starry eyed when I read about Taylor McAden.  The person who the main character falls for LOL he would be my ideal dream guy : D
Okay Okay enough of that, back to the girl night plans.  We will be going to see the movie after we get a bite to eat.  So you know in addition to grandma and mom Joy and Katey will be coming.  We will have a blast and it will be great to see grandma after not seeing her for so long.  She had just come home from Florida.  Hope she doesn't complain about the weather. :(  Well better go hop in the shower.  If I get dropped off the mall a little early by Nathan I might have be crossing off another thing off my to do  list.  Stay tuned for an update on the movie and the night.

                                         A very windy walk
Jeez it sure has been one windy and nippy day out there hasn't it?  Yes I still toughened up and took my walk.  As I keep on mentioning I have been in training and these 6 days are the ones that really count since the walk is finally occurring Saturday and I made myself realize a while back that the weather may not be all sunny and warm, it may be be cold and a little windy like it was today or it could possibly be drizzling so I said unless it's storming, or pouring down sheets of rain, I am walking and sure enough that's what's what I did but unfortunately I can't tell you how far I walked because I didn't realize my nano was battery was so low and it ran out on me but I think I overcome it.  Yes it was real cold at first but after ten minutes of walking I started to warm up.  I must admit it felt bit lonely and quiet when my nano died but then I just occupied myself with my thoughts.
It does help if you have a walking buddy with you.  Too bad Jess didn't live closer or we could walk together more LOL.  Mom even said that to me on our first warm sunny day when Jess and I were taking a walk at the same time but she was being accompanied with her mom at her neighborhood and I was taking my walk around my neighborhood.  For the record when I am walking with someone I do not listen to my nano because I don't want to ignore the person, I want to be able to enjoy their company and sometimes I feel like my music can get in the way of that so I doubt I will have my music with me at event.  Well anyway I couldn't help but smile as I walked passed the St. Ives pond and saw two ducks swimming side by side together.
I don't know what it is about them but I love ducks but not geese.  People ask me what I still miss about being at my dad's house on lake cable and I think I miss not seeing the ducks waddling around in the spring with their mates trying to find a nest and seeing the ducklings out with their mothers during the summer.  But anyways it was nice to see a couple ducks after not seeing them for some time LOL. Well I better get going, Have a good night everyone.
