Handmaking theme

I know it's only October but do any of you start thinking of Christmas gifts?  What ever it might be just sneaking around a sibling's or child's room or just asking questions to see what they like?  Some of you might like to do that maybe after Thanksgiving.  Well people have always loved my gifts because they are different every year.  Yes there are some people in the family that I do just give gift cards because I don't know what they like but there are a few that I enjoy purchasing an item for such as Hailee, mom, and now there is Carson who I feel like I still need help with as far as her likes and dislikes.
But I do know this she is in LOVE with leopard print and such so that should work.  :)  I am also thinking of doing a home made theme this year as far as the gifts.  No not for all but for some such as the ladies I am thinking of making them something special. I am latch hooking a photo a photo for my grandparent's and I was thinking about something a long that line but I might be out of time so I am not sure what do as far the hand making but I will look on pinterest for ideas I guess so wish me luck.  :)

Fall cravings, Atwood festival update

Do any of you have fall cravings this time of year whatever it be to buy corn stalks, pumpkins, or go to a festival? Well fall is mom's and my favorite time of year so of course the corn stalks are up, we got pumpkins to make the house look pretty, and we have been drinking apple cider, and of course I made a carmal dip, and yes I went to a festival which I am about to update you on.  We went to the Atwood festival last Saturday and I must say we couldn't have picked a better day.  It was in the mid 80's and when we rode on the pontoon boat from aunt Lisa's parent's house the breeze felt wonderful.  For the record the Atwood festival has been a tradition for many years.  We have gone in many kinds of weather.  cold, hot, rainy, you name it but it's worth it.
Yes, grandma and I both missed a year.  I missed last year because I was invited to stay with dad, and the year before grandma passed on going because she didn't sleep well and it was rainy and muddy, and freezing.  They have all these trailers and tents where you can go in and look around and they are decorated beautifully with handmade things you can purchase or sample.  Uncle Craig and I got a chance to sample these two fruit jams that these two women were selling.  One was a raspberry and the other was a carmal apple.  I was very surprised to find that I liked the raspberry better.
No I did not purchase a bottle of it.  After a bit we decided to get something to eat.  Aunt Lisa's parent's went straight for the home made ice cream but we passed.  The rest of us wanted something else first that felt like a meal like hot dog which grandma and I got.  Aunt Lisa and Uncle Craig split this HUGE pork sandwich.    Yes we ended up getting ice cream.  I got this huge bowl of pumpkin pecan because I was in the fall mood.  It had five scoops of this delicious flavor.  Grandma helped me eat some of it.  :)
We left the festival at 2:30 because aunt Lisa's family needed to get ready for a party that they had to attend but heck we spent just enough time there if you asked me.  I would have taken photos and put them on my instagram but my phone went dead which bummed me out but oh well guess there's always next year right?  Well better get going. XOXO

Crack, crack, I needed that

I am sure many of you have heard something crack in your body whenever it be a knuckle or your back, but have you ever had that experience where you want it something to crack or go into alignment and it won't and you might need to go to a chiropractor.  I have had that experience many times especially with my back alignment since my walk is off a bit and it causes my spine to go out of alignment but I never had to go see a chiropractor because whenever I would go to dad's his friend Laura would come over who was a chiropractor and she was happy to adjust me and you could hear the crack.  Well anyway a couple days ago as I was sitting outside with my grandparents and uncle Rick and Judy Uncle Rick looked at me and said,
                  "Are you having back pain?"
At first I thought he was joking and I gave him a mischievous smile saying "No why?"
But he wasn't joking he said I was sitting funny and I seemed to be rubbing my back.
Yes I was telling the truth because I wasn't in pain at that time but I did feel some tightness in my back and it helped when I rubbed it but yesterday I told my mom there was just something different about the tightness and I almost wanted someone to sit on my back to see what would happen.  She said for me to lay down and that she would message me.  I was very surprised by how good it felt and mom pressed down on the usual places that Laura did and a few more additional places and we both heard and felt two loud cracks.  Mom was a shocked and said "Jeez Heather!"
I must admit it did feel wonderful and I did feel like a truly needed it :)     Well better get going. .
