Recovering from my hair cut "style" shock

                                         

                                                          Well if you are a facebook friend of mine and if you are following me on here you know that I have got my hair cut and that it was a little bit of a shock but right afterwords I completely fell in love with it.  Yeah I know many of you asked me to upload a photo of myself with the style that I chose but to tell you the truth I don't know how to take a photo of myself using my cell phone and to tell you the truth my cell phone takes awful photos but I promise once I get my new smart phone I will upload photos. I have not received one negative comment on the style.  Hailee noticed it first when we walked in and commented on it right away saying she liked it.  
                                                    Mark was next making a comment saying "Frodo you got your hair chopped," I like it."  So yes and then Katey came over later Wednesday night to help Nathan study for french, and was the next to comment.  She said I was meant to wear the hair style and that I looked amazing and the comments continued through yesterday.  Rachel came over with Sophia and she made the comment that shorter is better for me.  I must say though the funny thing was that I seemed to shock grandma.  
                                                   Yes, I did tell grandma that I was going to cut my hair but she admitted that she thought I wasn't going to do it.  She thought it was going to be a thought that was going to put aside but no she was wrong.  She didn't seem to notice at first until I turned around because it is a bit shorter in the back.  That's when she exclaimed "You got your hair cut!"  I told her yes and I said I was going to do it.  
                                                 She shook her head and said I should have known."  If you ask when the shock hit me the most it was when I first put my glasses on and looked at my self in the mirror when Jane (our hair dresser) was done and when I stared down at the floor my first thought was "What happened to my hair?" but I love it.  To tell you the truth I thought the shock was over when I left to go home but I think I was still in a little yesterday.  Especially when I looked in the mirror I would expect to see my shoulder length hair when I look in my refection instead of the style I have, and when I washed my hair last yesterday I used too much shampoo.  LOL but it is nice not to have to deal with so many tangles.  So I am glad that I made this change.    So anyway I better going Lots of love,   

Changes

                                       
                                             I am sure many of you have gone through a time when you were ready for a change or when things around you are changing and you just suddenly realize it.  I just notice that there has been changes or going to be some changes around me and some of them were my choice, and obviously some not my choice but some that will work out.  I would like to share some of the changes that have been going on so that I don't feel brainwashed with them.  I will list the changes and tell what I am looking foreword to or maybe a little concerned about. It will be similar to the mini post collection I do.
                                                 First  (Change of seasons)
                                                  Well it's obvious, that wasn't my choice.  It's just the rotation of the earth and how the weather works.  This is something I don't mind.  I just love autumn.  I just love everything about it and I feel like I can enjoy it more now that I am seizure free.  I am sorry if I mentioned being seizure free.  It's just that before my brain surgery 3 yrs ago autumn was the time of year my seizures would act up the most but now I can officially enjoy it.
                                              Second (Change of purses)
                                                       That was obviously my choice.  :)  It's not that I disliked any of the purses that I had but none had an outside pocket where I can easily reach for my phone if it ever rang or if I ever received a text.  Mom found a nice COACH purse at Dillards for a great discount and took a photo of it and I fell in love with it and yes it has an outside pocket.
                                                Third (job change for mom)
                                                         Well obviously this was mom's choice but I am really happy for her.  She got offered a bank job at Charter 1 and yes I did knew of this for a while but I was asked not to say anything.  She says she is looking forward to having holidays off and just being able to enjoy herself more.  She says I might be able to help her at times even.  :)  So tonight we are going out to dinner to celebrate her time she worked at Dillards which was 6 yrs I believe.
                                            Fourth (new hair cut)
                                                   That's obvious going to be my choice.  :)  Mom and I have our usual appointment Wednesday and for awhile I was thinking to go short.  I am getting a little nervous though because I am afraid I am going to get teased and picked on even if they are just goofing around.  People have called me ugly as a joke and I am really sensitive to anyone who calls me or anyone that I love ugly even if it is a joke.  :(  But I am going to go for it and cut it short.   I must tell you if you see me with the style and you don't like it please keep your comments to yourself. 
                                          Fifth (new phone)
                                                    That's right!  I am on the look out for a new phone.  My basic cell phone is acting up pretty bad and I am due  for a new one in October 1st.  Right now I am doing research, reading reviews, and searching for the perfect.....smartphone.  I know you would never think I would get a smart phone but I think it's time especially because mom and a bunch of her friends and family like to play Words with friends ect and I think it's time I join in.  Now let's see what phone I will get LOL.  :)  So you see how many changes plus I am sure there will be many more.  Well better go bye lots of love      
              

The writer's block has been lifted

                                     

                                                 Well it's official!  the writer's block is has lifted and I officially began to work on the rough draft of my book.  :)  Just so you know I am hand writing it first and then when I am done I am going to type it out on the computer so that I can have a chance to re read anything that doesn't sound all great and than once I am done I will print out copies and give them out for people to read and see if I need to improve and change and such.  I am looking for honest opinions when I ask people to read my book when it's time.  If any of you are interested let me know but please don't be afraid to tell me what I need to do make it better when it is time and please don't be afraid to tell me it sucks which I am sure you wouldn't say it that way LOL you would just say it needs improvement.  Of course if you are following me on face book you know that I had wrote more then a half a page.  
                                           Well I have gone further now.  I am going to be on page 3.  It's funny because I first started working on this book before my laptop crashed and now as you know I have been doing my blogging on mom's but anyway my whole story was on there and we couldn't get it back so I had to start over which was a drag but I had purchased a couple books on the style of writing and I have been teaching myself as I go.  Pretty impressive huh? LOL.  Well anyway the only drawback with me and writing is I can get obsessed.  To the point when I don't even want to stop.  
                                         There was one time when I had to say to myself "Heather it's time to take a shower now or feed Onyx and in my head I would hear "just after I write this one more word or sentence and I end up writing a page more LOL.  There were times where I would ask Nathan to hide my black binder or laptop from me when we had company so it wouldn't get in the way.  Well anyway better get going. Little white lie

                                       

                                                  Yes, I am still here I have just been taking a little break from the world of blogging and trying to focus on my style of my writing as far as my novel.  As I told you before the style of blogging and when I write my book are completely different and sometimes I forget that when I am trying to write the first page of my book I have to say "wait you are novel writing now, not blogging.  Sometimes I feel so frustrated I want to pull all my hair out.  So I just thought I needed a break of the blogging and just focus on the novel for a bit and plus there was really nothing going on anyway.  But anyway something finally happened today that just made me laugh and made me a little nervous at the same time and the title of the post shows it.
                                       I was asked by aunt Karla I would say a week ago if I could be a reference for them so that they could adopt two cats from an animal shelter.  Of course I had no trouble with it at first but aunt Karla said I might have to lie and tell her I am an old family friend because they were only allowed to put so many family members as references so of course I went along with it.  Of course I got the call and they got they asked if they were good with pets ect and of course I told them the truth that they had a dog and they treated her very nicely but of course they asked how am I in relationship to their family and I had to say the little white lie "I am an old family friend.  I don't know why but as I was saying it I started to feel uncomfortable.  I mean I have told little white lies to family before but at this situation I felt nervous about telling a little white lie to a stranger.  
                                       I mean it's not like they are going to find out anything or my nose is going get big like a certain Disney charter LOL.  Maybe it's just my guilty conscious LOL.  Well I better go.  Lots of love to you all    
                                                 

Back to dad's house I went

                                          

                                                        You know it seems most of the titles of my posts this month except for a couple have to do with a topic or start with a similar letter which is B including the post that I am typing now.  It's funny because I am not even meaning to do that on purpose.  This month so far seems to a month full of revisiting people and places that I haven't been in awhile and even seeing friends from out of state such as Becca but anyway yesterday it was back to dad's and I must say it was like a whirlwind at first.  See he was originally going to pick me up at 12 but text me asking if an hour earlier would be OK which I said that would be better.  Which of course was dumb because that meant 11 but I thought was 1:00.  
                                                    I know silly me.  My phone was charging in my room when he called and of course where was I? I was in the living room watching an episode Hey Arnold and Nathan raced downstairs saying dad is trying to get a hold of you.  I of course yelled a swear word and I run up and call and I find out he is in the driveway.  To make it worse I am not even dressed nor packed yet but since I didn't have much to pack a whole lot and since I already brushed my teeth and hair it took no time but still it felt like a whirl wind. 
                                          But anyway after a bit we were on our way.  Dad didn't mind.  He just laughed and he said Mark was talking to him as I was getting ready so that made me feel better.  But anyway we did our usual which is grocery shop, play Yahtzee (which he won, talk, and watch TV.  No we didn't watch no boring golf tournament like the last few times I have been there.  We watched the food network, and football and I watched The Blind side last night when I was relaxing in dad's room in his cozy bed LOL.  
                                        In fact that was the first time that I didn't watch one of my own DVDs when I was there.  Anyway dad was saying that we have to take a ride to amish county one day to visit and sample their cheese factory that they have because one of the cooking shows that we watched had to do with cheeses LOL.  Well anyway that's all for now, I better get going.  so till next time XOXO  
                                            

Book review (The Dawn Of A Dream)

                                           

                                             Well I finished my book and I am happy to say that I can finally give you a review and my thoughts on it.  I am going to the review a little bit different then in the past.  In the past I have logged onto Amazon and put down a random customer review on what they thought of the book but the more I looked at them the more they tended to give the story line away so I am no longer going to do that I am going to put down exactly what is on the back cover and yes I will still add my own personal thoughts and a photo of the front cover.  

                                                           Review Luellen O' Connell is stunned when her husband of one month tells her he is leaving and the reason devastates her.  Deeply wounded by his betrayal, Luellen decided to follow her dream to become a teacher, a desire she put aside when she married.  But can she put her feelings aside when she married, but can she hide her past?  or will it destroy her ambitions forever?
                                                         Thoughts I absolutely LOVED this book.  It gives you an inside look on how college life/ teacher's training was like back in the 18'00s.  It also gives you the courage to never give up and go for your dreams.  I would recommend this to anyone who is in college to become a teacher such as Jessie. or anyone who IS already a teacher such as Rachel. 
                                                          I must say I have to owe my cousin Maria a huge thanks because she was literally begging me to get the book because of it's cheep price and she knew it was the kind of book I liked but I was hesitant because it was the last part of a series but MANY people have said that they have read the series out of order and it is a good stand alone book.  So I thank you Maria for encouraging me to get it.  :)
                                          Well I better go.  I will not tell you what book I am reading next.  You will just have to wait for a book review but I might be working on my book for a time.  So I will keep you updated on that when I feel like it. I am happy to say that I am almost done writing on scrap paper and about to write my first page.  :)  So till next time bye.    
                                                              

A sneaky afternoon with Becca

                                             

                                                         Well the day finally came where I was reunited with a friend just like Grandma was reunited with Barb last week.  I think I mentioned this to you the last time but I Becca was in town and today was the day that she picked me up and we spent the day together.  We had everything planned out for weeks.  We were going to surprise her grandmother by arriving to her house and bringing her a pie which is one of her favorite treats but some of our plans backfired.  Becca missed the exit which GIANT EAGLE was on which we were originally going to stop so we had to keep going but Becca told me to keep my eyes open for any stores.
                                                       For awhile we didn't see anything except gas stations and we both saw a Walgreens but we were both a little hesitant to stop there so we kept on going suddenly Becca saw a Diary Queen and asked if I liked ice cream cakes and maybe getting her grandmother an ice cream cake was a better idea.  I was immediately drawn to that idea since it was a hot day.  In addition to the ice cream cake we each ordered small fries and I ordered a drink.  I know not much of a lunch but we had more when we arrived at the grandmother's.  When we got at the house Becca called before pulling into the driveway and she didn't answer.
                                              We both got a little nervous thinking she wasn't home but to our relief she was outside in her backyard doing some painting.  Boy she was surprised and she was shocked when I told her to open the ice cream cake box.  When she first saw it she thought it was for Aria (Becca's daughter) but I told her we got it for her.  I wanted to contribute toward the cake but Becca didn't let me.  She said I was just in charge of carrying it inside.  Darn you Becca LOL.
                                    But anyway all had a great time including little Aria.  She was walking and crawling around and playing with this porcelain kitty that her grandmother had.  She told us that every grandchild has loved that kitty.  We were sad to say our good byes when the time came but we had to.  Becca had to pick up her mom from her lunch break at work and after spending an hour at their house it was time for me to head home.  So it was a great time!  :)  I greatly owe Becca a huge thanks for inviting me I have come to love all her family.  So till next time XOXO 

Friendship update

                                      
                                                Well I am back from the short visit I had at my grandparents and as I told you grandma had one of her dearest friends come into town to stay a night and as I promised I would fill you in on all that we did.   Of course she didn't stay long but of course we did have fun.  Of course I came to grandma's house after Rachel's party that we went to.  I guess I will update you on all that we did including the party so I guess it is time for a mini post collection starting with Friday.
                                                  Friday thirty one party
                                                   Has anyone ever heard of thirty one products?  They are really nice.  It is a company that sells purses, totes, lunch bags plus many more things and you can have them personalized.  Rachel sells them and me, mom, grandma, and  aunt Lisa went to it and most of the products there to look at and they handed each of us a catalog so we can browse so it was fun.  Mom had bought a few things.  I was going to buy a purse but mom put a stop at that saying that there was going to be a double discount on coach purses at Dillards. 
                                              But anyway to answer your question NO I didn't get anything but at least mom did and I wasn't sure about grandma or aunt Lisa.  Yes little Sophia was there and was as cute as ever.  :)
                                                    Saturday Friends reunited
                                                        After we had breakfast grandma had went to the grocery store to get stuff on what we needed for meals and such.  She told me when I was over there that she feels like she basically lives at the store LOL.  She also told me that she always feels like there isn't going to be enough food especially when she has company coming and staying the night.  Well anyway her friend Barb came when she was at the store and when grandma arrived the three of us had a good time playing games and later we went out to dinner with uncle craig and aunt Lisa. 
                                                    Sunday Making our own decisions 
                                                             After a delicious meal of linguine and clam sauce curtsy of grandpa and after Barb hit the road mom came over and visited and asked if I wanted to go home or stay another night but grandpa was about to say I would like to stay another night with them but mom stopped him saying 
                                                     "She's old enough to make her own decisions, let her decide for herself,"  and I decided to head home with mom even though I knew I would be myself today.  Well anyway there will be one more friendship reunion coming up for me.   I will be spending the day with Becca Thursday and I can't wait!!!!  Well better get going till next time XOXO     
                                                     

Back to grandparent's house I go, discovering the style of writing

                                          

                                                       Yesterday grandpa picked me up and I spent the day at my grandparent's house.  It's funny because it seems like their house has been my second home this Summer and I am probably not even through spending time with them and I am probably not even done before they go back to Florida for the Winter which will be in October.  I have already been asked to spend a couple nights with them and spend time with a friend of grandma's who is coming from out of state to stay a couple nights.  But anyway yesterday I didn't stay the night last night I just brought a book and my black binder that had my notes about my novel that I am trying to work on.  For the record I had been dealing with writer's block especially on how to begin my novel but yesterday I said to myself "I am going to overcome it," and I have been writing sentences and reading them and it has slowly been going away.  
                                              It's weird because I am so used to the style of blogging and of course those of you who read my blog really like my style because it's almost like I am talking to you but when I am working on my novel I can't write like that.  I haven't discovered my style of novel writing yet but I will.  :)  Well I better go I need to get packing.  I will keep you updated on what we all did during the visit.  I know we are going to a party tonight at Rachel's and dinner tomorrow.  So till next time.
                           

Back to church I went

                                            
                                                       Well... you guys guessed it I went to church with Jessie again and I must say it was wonderful to be in Jessie's car and to be surrounded by her presence along with her father in law  along with her the kind church members.  A lot of them were happy to see me since it had been a long while since I had gone to church there.  Both Jessie and I have been so busy we never really could find the time to really go together.  But anyway as soon as we were pulling out of the driveway our trip to church was delayed a tiny mishap.  As we were pulling out of the driveway Jess suddenly came to a complete Stop and yelled "Oh my gosh look out little puppy!"
                                                  No the puppy wasn't run over but she nor I couldn't continue our quest to church until we knew that puppy was safe from the road.  I got out and saw his owner and the puppy was chasing me knowing that he was in trouble.  He even tried to climb into the car with Jessie when I opened the car door.  The owner apologized and we were on our way.  As we were on our way we looked at each other and said "That's the first time we ever experienced that and we just laughed. 
                                                Well anyway as we got there I was greeted by everyone and that they were glad to have me back.  So you know I just LOVED the sermon.  They talked about how The lord is your Shepard and we even had to recite that The lord is my Shepard for thou not keep ect.  Dave also mentioned what the rod and staff were used for.  I thought it was very touching what some of the comments some of the children were making that were just making Lula (Dave's wife) and I laugh.  She said "I wonder what goes on in a child's head? LOL.  
                                             Well anyway after a fabulous lunch I am now back home.  So I think I am going to make a call to grandma and fill her in.  So till next time
