                                      Fun weekend for everyone!
Well it's the weekend we've all been waiting for!  Yes Mark and mom are going on their romantic getaway and Katey will be staying a few days with me along with Joy and possibly Hailee.  For a couple weeks I heard talk of them of possibly canceling their trip because of how much they wanted to get done around the house but Joy and Katey wouldn't let them have it.  Mom even suggested we all go to Katey's for the weekend and leave the house to them and Onyx but no one was for that.  To tell you the truth I wouldn't have minded doing that so long as the fun weekend wasn't canceled LOL.
For the record mom and Mark will be going to Mountaineer to do some gambling and a couple other activities.  I was a little surprised when I received that news.  Mom doesn't care for gambling all that much but she does likes to help.  For the record I have gone there a couple times and did a few of the slot machines.  The last time I was pretty lucky when I went on the WHEEL OF FORTUNE slot machine.
I won like $300.  Pretty amazing huh LOL, that was like a year ago.  Well anyway mom said if it's nice they might go golfing.  So hopefully they'll have a good time just the two of them.  Mark said it will be nice to be nice to sleep soundly without someone jumping on them in the morning and yes he means Onyx.  Sometimes he will jump on their bed in the middle of the night and there was one time when mom told him it was time for bed and pushed him off the bed.
I have to say that is pretty amazing, he's a pretty big boy LOL.  You go girl.  Well anyway when they're away we'll also be enjoying ourselves.  When we Katey and I started planning this coming weekend she seemed to have it all in her mind.
                  Friday: movie
Saturday: A little birthday party for Hailee since her birthday falls on April 1st  and no boys allowed at this party.
Sunday: We were undecided because we didn't know what time Mom and Mark are expected home but maybe just a dinner or something, but who knows anything could change.  Like today Joy is coming over with Boggart and Bella to play and bringing lunch, so who knows we might not be going to a movie we might be just hanging around and socializing and just eating a nice dinner at the house.  But I will try and tell you what we are planing so stay tuned.

A little spritz of glittery body spray
Wow certain parts of my body are glittery tonight!  As you can tell from the title I had tried applying a new fragrance when I got out of the shower this evening.  Before I get dressed I usually apply body lotion or perfume.  LOL you guys proably already know the fragrances that I use the most.  Clinique Happy Heart and Esta Lauter Beautiful but there are others that I use also that come from bath and body works.  They are usually stocking stuffers that were put in my stocking for Christmas and sure enough that was what I decided to spritz on tonight.
When I looked inside the bottle it did look a little shimmery and glittery but when I spritzed a little on my arm and rubbed it in I didn't expect my arm to get so glittery. The same with my chest and the bottom of my legs.  For the record the scent was forest citrus so I probably smell pretty good too LOL.  But anyway who is watching America's Next Top Model this season?  I know Katey was but I don't think she's watching it this season anymore which I don't blame her.
This season SUCKS!  Oops I can't believe I said that LOL but it is true.  Mom and I still watch it but we only watch it to make fun of the American and UK girls.  Well I better go it's about ready to start.

                                          Receiving a special email
A few days ago as I was going through my email contact list trying to clear out the contacts that I no longer stay with I came across my elementary school tutor, Mrs. Clark's email address.  It had been awhile since I had dropped her an email and I went ahead and starting composing a message.  In that message I explained all that was happening and what I was planning to do as far as the epilepsy awareness event and I also told of how things were going and then I also gave her the address to my blog and then I basically asked how things were going on her end.  For the record she did respond to my email.
She just like everyone else is just thrilled with the idea of the epilepsy awareness event and she's excited about the fact that I am writing a novel.  She said that she checked out the blog and she loves the background.  She says it's very Heather like.  I had to laugh at that comment.  LOL I remember when I she first introduced herself during first grade.  I was so short with this little hair cut.  We still joke around about it to this day.
I also remember a couple things we would do before and after we got done with our work session.  One thing would be the music.  She couldn't begin her tutoring without turning on her classical music first.  I used to tease her and say.
"You and your music."  She would just laugh.  After we were done with our session she had a basket of marbles beside an empty jar.  Before we would leave we would put a marble in the jar and once the jar got filled we would have a celebration.  All the kids that she tutored from the same grade along with her partner's group would gather for a special activity such as making homemade donuts.
I always looked forward to the summer whenever we would exchange letters back and forth in the mail.  Eventually those letters became emails.  Now of course I don't see her as a tutor but as a good friend who I respect.  Well anyway she said her family is doing well and that her youngest grand daughter Ellie is thriving and already starting to walk.  For the record Ellie just turned one and was born pre mature.
I was so thrilled to hear that.  It looks like nothing is going to stop her and she's going to thrive. For the record we are interested in planning a get together but we are not sure when yet.  So I will keep you posted.

                                Achieving the obstacles
Well it's Monday and you you guys are probably wondering if achieved any of my obstacles.  Let me say that I have accomplished both of them somewhat.  I haven't gotten over my writer's block yet but I had received a comment from Jess saying that she would be more then happy to help create ideas for my novel.  For the record she is interested in starting a story of her own and needs my help and wants my help creating ideas.  She was working on a story in middle school that was similar to Harry Potter but on her comment she wants to break away from fantasy and try a new approach.
So she asked if I would be open to getting together with her and working on our stories.  She is on her spring break so I might ask if she's open to coming over one day when she's not busy.  Okay to the next obstacle which was my bedroom.  I am happy to say that I have accomplished that.  I worked on a little bit each day.
LOL I kept on taking breaks and reading my book.  But anyway yesterday the clothes were off the floor, and I vacuumed, and wind dexed, and all there was left to do was dust off my TV and BLU ray player which I did this morning. LOL it was weird when I woke up and had seen that the floor was already was vacuumed and the clothes were already picked up off the floor.  So like I said my room is finally clean so I guess I'd achieved that obstacle and now I can celebrate!

                               Taking on obstacles
Well this is the weekend I will be taking on some obstacles that I have been putting off.  Well actually one of them I have been working on somewhat during the evenings but I want to work harder on during the day and that is making some final decisions on my novel.  It seems like I can't remember anything that I had typed ever since my lousy laptop got that virus.  I have been trying to start over in creating this novel I might ask Jess for help since she used to write herself.  Well anyway another obstacle I will be taking on is my room.
I have to admit I can let my room get a little messy but the beauty about having a small room is it is quick to straiten up but today I am going to do everything such as vacuum, dust, you name it.  I noticed that it had to get done a week ago  when I took a good look at the room but the nice temperatures prevented me from doing it but I just have to get it done so it will probably be the first thing I do.  Just in case you are wondering if we ended up going to Eddy's fish restaurant last night for dinner we did and sure enough I had finally ate a meal that I was satisfied with.  When mom had met us there she had brought Katey and sure enough we had a good time.
She hadn't planned on it but we persuaded her to ride home with us and stay the night.  For the record she keeps clothes in the spare bed room since she is a frequent guest.  After we had came home Mark was craving popcorn so mom made some homemade and we ate that while we watched  the TV show What would you do.  Well anyway I better get going.
                                                                                                            Lots of Love,
                                                                                                                Heather

                                 Preparing a dish
Well you guessed it, I was part of the cooking crew yesterday at preparing dinner.  A few weeks ago Mark had brought home this tasty broccoli salad that we all enjoy from fishers to have as a side dish along with our sausage and brats.  Sure  is tasty but Mark said that it is very expensive.  A pound of the salad cost about $6 and he picked up 2 pounds and sure enough that was about 12 dollars.  For that reason and just to try something new I decided to look on the internet for similar broccoli salad recipes and sure enough I had found one.
Mom was for it and she said on her next day off I could go ahead and make it and sure enough I did.  We ended up having that along with pork loin, cream of Parmesan rice.  Sure enough it was pretty darn good.  I've got to admit I wasn't thrilled with the broccoli salad at first but everyone else LOVED it especially Mark.  Mom even told me that the more it sits the better it tastes and sure enough when I tasted the salad again this morning in the fridge I found that it DID taste better and I now love it and I would make it again.
Mark asked about the price and when mom looked at the receipt she said it was cheeper to make our own.  Mom says we might be bringing this salad to our  family gatherings so I think we will be having that again.  It is sure a pretty salad LOL.  Here's the recipe.
                                             1 head broccoli
6 to 8 slices of bacon cooked
                                              1/2 cup red onion
8 ounces sharp cheddar cut into small chucks
1/2 cup raisins or craisions (optional)  I personally prefer craisions but you don't need to put any of them in.
1/2 cup half slices cherry tomato
For the dressing: 1 cup mayo
                                 1/4 cup sugar
                                  2 tablespoon vinegar
Trim off leaves from the broccoli stem and remove the tough stalk at the end and wash head.    Add crumpled bacon, onion, cheese, and all the other ingredients in a bowel and enjoy.  It is better the next day but it is still delicious the day you make it.  Sprinkle some salt and fresh black pepper before you mix it all up.
If you guys do try this recipe let me know how it turns out and comment.
                        Well I better go.
                                                                                               Till next Time,
                                                                                                       Heather

                               Record breaking temps/thoughts on wrtting
Well it's spring, but you wouldn't have guessed it by these record breaking temps we have been receiving it feels like it should be summer.  I heard that the temps should be in the high 40's mid 50's this time of year in Cleveland / Akron Ohio but that's not the case.  For the last couple of days I tried to get my walk in the morning before the heat comes.  Luckily we will have a few days of relief coming up.
For the record I have really enjoyed these nice sunny days.  They have been really nice for walks and just sitting out and enjoying the evening.  Mom brought the seat cushions up from the basement and on St patrick's day evening Hailee, mom, Mark, and I sat out and chat on the patio.  I even took my binder that has all my notes that has to do with my novel outside and did some writing outside.  I thought the change in atmosphere might help me get started.
For some reason I will start writing a page and than I will re read and I will just despise how I had written it so far or I should feel that I should have done better.  Like I said in another post I have always had a love for writing.  In fact I used to write short stories when I was younger but after I was done I would crumple them up and throw them away, my dream in 5th grade was to be an author and it continued till 9th grade.  I have to say though in 9th grade everything changed because I felt like I was feeling stressed out during English during writing because of the Ohio Graduation Test that would take place our sophomore year and that we had to write a certain style so it made robbed me for my love for writing which was a shame because I remember one of my teachers reading one of my stories and she told me that I would make a great author which made my heart smile.  But there seemed people that I will not even mention that just thought the interest of writing was weird.
I asked mom that question I would say a month a go and she laughed and she said writing a book is not weird, it is a gift."  You have always wanted to be author at such a young age.  Becca even suggests submitting my novel to be published.  I laughed and said
"One thing at a time girl I am not even close to being finished with this novel, this is going to be much longer than my 28 page short story."  I told you guys that the novel would be written in first person point of view  but I am changing it to 3rd person limited.   I just think it's a bit easier.  Well I better sign off for now.
                                                                   Lots Of Love,
                                                                            Heather

                                    Last day of Winter!
Wow it's the last day of winter I can hardly believe it. That means tomorrow will be the first day of Spring.  In fact I thought that it was already Spring because of this nice weather we have been having.  Mark had told me that my grandparents were jealous of the temperatures that we were receiving.  I had to laugh when I was told that because they shouldn't have any reason to be jealous.  They are in Florida and they should be receiving nice weather unless they are receiving scorching hot temps.
For the record the corn beef that we had on St Patrick's day was delicious but there was one time during the day that the crock pot got un plugged and that caused the cabbage to be a tad under cooked but it still came out all right.  Everyone loved it so much mom considered going out and picking up another and having it again yesterday but that didn't happen.  In a way I was relieved because I do not like to have the same meal the next day.  Instead we had steak kabobs, rice, and a salad.  It was pretty darn good and Katey had spent another night.  During dinner Katey and I made plans of what we were going to do on the 30th through the 1st.
That is the weekend where Mark and mom are going on their romantic getaway and Katey will be coming to stay a few nights with me to keep me company and just to have some fun. Like I said on my previous post Joy will also be coming and so will Hailee but we don't want any boys such as Nathan.  Mom and Katey want us to hang a sign on the front door saying NO BOYS ALLOWED.  Katey and mom asked if Jess would be joining us and I told them I would love for her to join us but I also shared of how her fiance is a truck driver and it seems like the only time she really gets to see him is the weekends and I don't want her to feel guilty about leaving him.  Katey than came up with the idea of asking her to join us on our movie and dinner night Friday night and she could leave whenever she feels like it so I text her and I am just waiting for an answer.  We will have a fun time.
For the record this morning has been funny!  Mom has been cleaning and checking her phone for messages.  Katey has been on her phone most of the morning trying to choose a new ringtone.  She has been browsing through her apps so I have been hearing some pretty funny, interesting, and neat ringtones.  Well I better go.
                                                                                                  Lots Of Love,

                                St. Patrick's day tradition
Wow I can hardly believe it's St. Patrick's day already.  LOL I remember when we were told by our elementary school teachers to wear green and making shamrocks and other crafts that have to do with the irish and when we would come home we would smell the corn beef and cabbage cooking in the crock pot. As you know we no longer attend grade school but the meal hasn't changed.  We still to this day have corn beef and cabbage.  I am not sure on this but I think this is about the only time mom and Mark make it.
For the record I think I have it more than they do because I visit dad.  He loves it and he seems to make it every other time I go over there.  I think I go over there every month.  But anyway this evening Katey will be joining us and spending the night.  Hope she is doing well with her driving.
Anyway yesterday we went to another fish fry.  I had expected us to go to the same place where we went last week and expected to see aunt Millie and Uncle Gary and everyone else who had joined us last week but that wasn't the case.  We ended up going to St. Joseph's.  It was where my mom attended grade school.  When we entered there were photos of students that made their first communion.
Mom was obsessed in trying to find her photo but I don't think she had much luck.  But anyway as we were eating I shared the news that I got from Jess about her bridal shower and the date it fell on which is April 14th.  Mom seemed shocked and said that I should have gotten an invite a month earlier.  I was like,
"Mom she's only a couple days late from spreading the news and it's not like it's the wedding."  Mark was in agreement and the more mom thought about it the more she agreed.  She said the wedding invites should go out a month in advance.  But Jess seems to be on it.  Well anyway Mark and I did not care for some of the food that we ordered.
Mark had ordered for all of us and had ordered mom and I a one piece fish dinner while he ordered a two piece fish along with some shrimp. that came with a side of french fries and cole slaw, or apple sauce.  Mom and I chose the cole slaw while Mark chose apple sauce.  I had told mom that I had much rather of had the shrimp rather than the fish.  So in the end Mark and I split everything including dessert.
Like I said Mark nor I cared for the food.  I thought the fish was tasty but the shrimp wasn't that great neither was the cole slaw or the french fries.  I made the wrong choices again like I did at the other place but at least all their food was tasty.  Mark than suggested  that we go to a restaurant called Eddys next week.  They have never been there before but I have been there twice with my grandparents and it is a great!
They have excellent fish and their onion rings are to die for.  So that might be our next place next week.  Well I better get going.
                                                                               Happy St Patrick's Day!
                                                                                          Heather

                                       Shaken up
Boy did anyone get woken up by the thunderstorm that occurred this morning or during the night?  It sure startled me awake.  For the record I always like a good storm during the day or early evening but not when it wakes me up when I am trying to sleep.  I remember someone telling me when I was little that a thunderstorm meant that the angels were bowling in heaven.  I think it was Rachel or my older cousin Mandi who told me that.
Anyway yesterday mom had her day off.  She was really busy re doing the office for Mark.  She was trying so hard trying to be finished by the time he got home so that he he could be surprised.  She had me help by lifting up a side of this huge roll on desk.  Yeah I wasn't much help there.  All I did was freak her out enough for her to yell at me.
The side of the desk that I was holding onto slipped out of me before I could say anything.  It had dropped on the floor and I managed to get out of the way.  Boy why do I have to be the one to ALWAYS freak mom out.  But anyway I didn't say anything as she yelled I just felt hopeless and shaken.  As I made my way upstairs a burst of anger rushed through me, it made me want to hit something or just throw something.
I did lightly throw a tube of tooth paste and I took a couple deep breaths and I was fine.  Jeez that was nothing compared to my very old tantrums.  Whew they were a night mare. I than thought it was best I just get out of the house for a bit and go for a walk and that's what I did.  Mom than apologized for the way she spoke.  She just said
"I just was afraid you were going to get hurt."  I nodded and accepted it but in a way I feel like I don't deserve that apology.  But anyway taking the walk cheered me up but in a way I am still a little shaken.  Well anyway after today I should be as good as new.  It always takes me a couple days to get over something like that.
I am sure everyone at Dillards knows this but Katy got her driver's license.  She texted me the news on the 13th when I was taking my walk.  She said we are going to have so much fun when Mark and mom go out of town.  I forget what weekend they are going but they were originally going to go to Cincinnati with a couple other couples to see my uncle Roger's restaurant but I heard that my cousin Emilia's spring break might have fallen on that weekend so they might be taking her out of town that weekend so I think they are going somewhere else now.  Joy is going to join us also wants Hailee to take part and I even asked if I could have Jess join us if we do something at the house or to a movie and she said sure.  So we are going to have a blast!
          Well I better go.
                                                      Lots of Love,

                          A Day filled with birthdays
Jeez it seems like this month is flying by for some reason.  It seems like only yesterday it was March 1st and here it is March 13th.  I am sure it doesn't feel that way for mom though because of gift.  I am sure she is counting down the days till it is over and when she can have her normal days off again.  Right now she only has one day off a week when normally she has two.
Best of luck to her and to all the girls at the CLINIQUE counter.  Well anyway today seems to be a day filled with birthdays.  I had always known that my grandma and dad were born the same day but during the fish fry last week I had learned that my cousin Bridget had also had a birthday.  I am not totally sure on the ages my grandma or Bridget are turning but I DO know the age my dad will be turning.  He will be turning 60.
Mom said that she was teasing him about it the last time he came into the mall but he gave it right back at her since she will be turning 50 this May. But anyway I'd just thought that share a little bit about dad, grandma, and Bridget since it is their special day.
Dad: I can always be able to count on him when things are tough and he seems to always make me smile.  I love his sense of humor and just being able to listen to his silly songs and to be able to enjoy his cooking.  He seemed to shock me the last summer when he lived on lake cable when he told me to jump into the water without any kind of life jacket when I had gone a whole year without seizures.
Grandma:  Just like many grandmothers she's fun and supportive.  I enjoy playing cards, and other games and just spending time with her.
Bridget: I don't spend or talk to her all that much like I do the others but I wish I did but the time the I do spend with her and her husband are enjoyable.  She is a kindergarten teacher.  She is so nice and sweet and I just love to see her smile.  Well Happy Birthday to all of them!  I got to go.
                                                                                                           Love,
                                                                                                   Heather

                               Seizure awareness update/ frigid morning
You guys probably are wondering if I'm ever going to update you on the seizure awareness walk that I am planning.  I am at the phase now where I am just getting the word out but the people that I have told are really interested in taking part in and sponsoring such as our hair dresser.  During the fish fry last night we spread the news and I was telling them that I was planning and of course just like everyone else they got excited.  I told them that the epilepsy foundation had other ideas as far as what you could do to raise money, you could have a dinner party,
                                       host a concert
                                       have a bake sale
have a bowling or soccer tournament
have a golf outting and of course have your own bikethon or walk like I was planning.  The more we talked everyone liked the bowling idea better, me included.  I wouldn't have to worry about the weather.  My cousin's husband Tod knows of someone who could possibly give us a discount on a bowling alley and mom thinks it will bring more people. Everyone is getting really excited and mom wants everyone to wear purple shirts like I said before is the seizure awareness color.  But I am open to any ideas that anyone has, so if anyone has any they can leave me a message on facebook or comment or email me.
Well anyway for the record Rachel wasn't at the fish fry.  From what I heard she and her mom, Aunt Millie and her nephew Anthony were in Heart ville. From what I heard Rachel was feeling pretty tired and just wanted everyone to come over to aunt Millie's house but unfortunately no one really felt like it because everyone was tired and it was cold.  But to our diss pair the inside of our house would be just as cold as the outside.  Mom thought that the themas stat just needed some new batteries but we were in for a rude awakening.
This morning the house was frigid.  Mark was complaining that even his clothes were cold when he was getting ready for golf.  Mom couldn't get motivated to take her shower and we were thankful when the repair guy came.  He got the heat started again but he warned us that it could go out again because there is something wrong with the motor.  Good Lord what next, it seems like everything is falling apart around here.  Well I got to go unload the dishwasher.
                                                                                           Till next time,

                              Crazy Weather
Bur it sure is cold outside!  Boy can you believe this crazy weather?  Mom asked me that question as we were enjoying our hot cup of coffee and watching the news.  I just laughed and nodded.  It sure the month for it.  March is always that month when the temperature will go up and down and I remember that's when my seizures would start picking up but not any more LOL.
But anyway I can't wait till the warm temperatures hold steady so that I can go outside and walk and just enjoy the nice weather without shivering LOL.  Well anyway when mom and I were talking we seemed to think that the inside of the house was colder than normal.   She asked if I was cold and I told her yes but I wasn't the right person to ask.  I am the type of person who is always cold.  I am constantly rubbing my hands together and when my mom gets under the blanket with me on the couch she flinches because of how cold my feet are LOL.  The funny thing is that I don't even think to wear socks even or shoes around the house even though I should.
But anyway she asked Mark and he said it was nippy and than mom checked the thermos stat to see if the heat was on and it wasn't.  She found that the temp was only 69 degrees and the battery was getting low and that it soon needs to be replaced.  Jeez it seems like everything is getting replaced or repaired around here is getting repaired lately.  But I guess it would be the time.  I know I moved in this house when I was six years old.  Well anyway tonight we are going to a fish fry with few outside family members.  We are not sure who yet.
My uncle Gary and aunt Millie might be joining us.  For those of you that don't know those are Rachael's parents..  Rachael is getting married this Summer as well.  LOL so I will be attending two wedding this Summer LOL.  Wish me luck.  Don't worry I am not stressed I am excited, I just LOVE weddings and Jess, don't worry I am picking up that dress.  Well I better go.
                                                                                  Lots Of Love,

What a cup of coffee can do
Ugh! what a night I had.  I woke up in the middle of the night feeling dizzy along with a little headache.  But I was so drowsy I didn't even want to risk getting up from the bed and falling.  Before I knew it I was asleep anyway and it had caused me to sleep in.  Mom came to check on me because normally I am up and about before she gets ready for work but that wasn't the case this time.
She asked me what time I had gone to bed and I had told her that I went to bed after watching America's Next Top Model and than I told her about the headache that had started in the middle of the night.  She told me to take something for it and when I go downstairs.  I did not take a pain reliever when I came downstairs though.  I immediately poured myself a cup of coffee. I heard from dad and a few other people that drinking coffee can help relieve a headache.  It has helped me.
Now in the past when I had my migraines after my seizures nothing worked, not even pain relievers.  All that worked was Valume which knocked me out.  But anyway I'll never forget when I would have those migraines at my dad's when James and Nathan would wrestle.  Of course I would be in my room trying to sleep and I would hear Nathan and James wrestling and of course dad wanted to help but in a way he was making it worse because of his loud voice.  Anyone who knows my dad knows how loud is voice is and how it carries LOL.
But I would hear him shout "GUYS SETTLE DOWN, HEATHER'S TRYING TO SLEEP."  LOL that wasn't much help.  But anyway for the record I haven't had a migraine that bad in a long time.  Ever since I tried to sit up from the bed when I had surgery.  Okay Okay enough of the headaches the cheese burgers we had for dinner last night were delicious.  I think Mark went to Giant Eagle to get their burgers.
They have all different kinds.  They have blue cheese, bacon cheese, plus different kinds.  I think Mark picked me up a blue cheese burger.  But anyway no offense to anyone but I think dad makes the best burgers LOL.  Well anyway I better go exercise a little bit.  I need to get toned up LOL.
                                                                                                  Lots Of Love,

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood
Boy it sure was another great day.  If you guys are wondering, yes I did walk today.  While I was walking my dad called and asked what I had been up to.  He said it had been a while since we had talked and he wanted to check in.  It was funny because he could tell I was walking by hearing the wind blow through the cell phone.
When ever I go walking I try to always bring my phone with me just in case anything were to happen.  Just like the last time there were many other people out enjoying the weather.  There were some riding their bikes and a little boy was playing Frisbee with his mother and a few people were walking their dogs.  I wasn't totally sure but I thought I saw Brutus, this friendly big black dog who tried to follow me home once LOL.  It was funny because the owner had to come out of their house and laughed and said,
"Brutus she doesn't want your company right now," and she apologized.  I laughed and told her it was nothing but Brutus would not stop following me.  The owner had to go get his leash.  It was funny.  Well anyway after the walk I called dad and he told me what was going on and I did the same.  I told him that I had FINALLY received the call from David's Bridal about my bridesmaids dress I will be wearing in Jess's wedding.  I was starting to get a little nervous because I heard from quite a few people that David's Bridal customer service wasn't that great and that people received their attire too late.
But those comments were from total strangers and I don't know which location it was.  The only drawback is I have to pick it up in 3 to 5 days and I have to have a photo I.D.  I gave my mom my photo I.D and she said she will call them to them that she'll go ahead and pick it up for me.  There is no way she will be able to get me down there in 5 days since it is gift time at CLINIQUE.  Mom said they were pretty busy yesterday.  Anyway for the record we are grilling hamburgers tonight!   YUMMY!  Well I better go.
                                                                                                        Lots of love,
                                                                                                          Heather
P.S. To all you Top Model fans don't forget to watch America's Next Top Model Tonight.

A new record without a post
I know, I know I am late on the blogging. I am sure you guys are getting mad at me wondering when I am ever going to get another post out LOL.  I am sure Katie is pretty mad at me right now thinking I'm a slacker.  She told me she looks forward to coming home every evening and reading my posts.  But who says I can't take a break every now and than LOL.
Well anyway Sunday afternoon mom and I went a hair appointment at Hairline Expressions.  We just love our hair dresser Jane.  She has been coloring and cutting mom's hair since she was in high school.  As a result she has been doing my hair as well.  I am not totally sure on this but I think she goes every three weeks and I go every other time just for a trim and get my eye brows and lips waxed which is torture but compared to brain surgery it's nothing.
Jane always comments on how healthy my hair looks and mom constantly laughs and says I rarely do anything to damage it such as blow dry or curl it.  I only do that once in a great while.  But anyway mom had me share the news about the seizure awareness walk that I am organizing and just like everyone else she got really excited.  She said she would sponser and to let her know when it takes place.  My grandma got nervous when I told her about it because she thought I would make it take place in November which I mentioned is seizure awareness month.
She wants to take part in it and if I organized it than she wouldn't be able to because she and grandpa would be in Florida so it will probably take place in the Summer sometime.   I researched a few charities but my main epilepsy charity is the epilepsy foundation.  I found the form to fill out yesterday and I asked mom if she could help me when she has the time which probably won't be for a while.  She's in gift right now.  So good luck to her and Joy.  Well I better go.
                                                                                  Lots Of Love,

                                Having a Joyful time

A few days ago as I was checking my facebook status I had read some news that Joy's sister   Catie was coming into town from Florida.  Joy had told me so much about Catie and how much we had in common.  We both like Harry potter, Twilight, Disney and many other things.  I was anxious to meet her.  For the record Catie works at Disney World resort, sweet!
Well anyway mom told me that I would be expecting a phone call from Joy.  Well anyway I had received the call, and last night I was invited over to her house to hang out and eat Chinese.  As I was getting ready an interesting thought came to me.  This is the first time I hung out with Joy without James or mom or anyone of my family.  I laugh when I think back to when I was a freshman in high school or maybe earlier when I first met her I was afraid of her because she was a cheerleader.
LOL in my opinion I think some of the movies that I have watched give cheer leaders a bad reputation.  They almost make the cheer leader the bully.  Some of those movies are the princess Diaries and A Cinderella Story.  But anyway I was proved wrong there, she is so sweet.  I love her as a sister.  But anyway when I walked in her dogs Bella and Bogart rushed to greet me.
Joy was anxious to get the food on the table but also had to keep an eye on Boggart.  She told me that he can appear out of no wear and sneak the food off the table.  She told me that he stole a chocolate covered strawberry that she had made for James for Valentines Day off the plate without anyone noticing.  She asked how he could have done that.  As a joke I said he must have an inadvisability cloak.
She got a kick out of that.  Well anyway we just shared funny stories and we watched the Twilight saga Breaking Dawn and watched the dogs play with each other.  That was entertaining.  Finally around 11 I had decided it was time to go so Joy took me back home.  She thanked me for coming and seemed to feel bad that we couldn't have done more such as see a movie.  I told her it was a fun evening and that's what I enjoy.
She then asked if I was interested in seeing a movie with her possibly on her next day off which is Monday but it is not set yet.  For the record we are interested in seeing The Vow. Well I better go sign off for now.
                                                                                  Lots Of Love,
                                                                                   Heather

                                           An inspiring idea
Boy it sure was a beautiful day for a walk yesterday!  I was so eager to get my MP3 player and my cell phone and get outside for a bit of fresh air.  I didn't even have to worry about a jacket by the way I dressed.  For the record I wore a pair of my sweat pants and a sweatshirt.  As I was walking I could see many people also enjoying the nice temperatures.
It's nice because if we pass each other we will wave and say a quick hello.  For the record I LOVE to walk.  I have always wanted to join one of those walk a thons such as the AVON  walk for breast cancer but a lot of those walks take place in Akron or Cleveland.  Mom than told me about a breast cancer walk that Dillards sponsors.  I was all for it and I immediately went on the internet to see if I could find out the date but so far there is none.
Mom thinks it takes place in the fall, the month that breast cancer awareness takes place.  But anyway the more I was thinking the more I wanted to join a walk for my own cause which of course has to do with epilepsy.  Of course everyone knows I had dealt with seizures for 21 years.  I was lucky enough to be able to have surgery that had led me to be seizure free for two and and a half years.
But anyway I had joined an epilepsy site that gives you all the information and support that you need.  You can chat to others, share your story, and read some events that go on.  One of the events I found out about was the seizure awareness walk.  My heart beat with excitement but quickly broke because of the location, which was Washington D.C.  For the record the seizure awareness color is purple and the seizure awareness month is November.
I didn't know there was a month or a color for epilepsy until I talked to a girl in the epilepsy chat room that deals with seizures.  We are friends on face book now and she is so sweet.  She believes that we were both chosen to have seizures for a reason.  For the record 180,000 people a year are diagnosed.  Wow!
In my opinion I think schools need some training.  Mom had to have a special meeting at the school to specially the types of seizures I had and what to do.  But anyway if you are interested in helping me organize this event,  send me a message on face book.  I hope I can get some friends to support me in this as well as family.  Wish me luck.
