                                         My third church visit
Boy what a crazy day it was yesterday.  Yes Jess had invited me to join her to go to her church like the last couple of times.  This time I was a little hesitant to go because Jessie's beloved David was in town and I didn't want him to think that I was intruding on his family.  I mean I am just the best friend of his future wife not technically family so I had Jess ask him if it was all right and sure enough he said it was fine so off to church I went. David asked how I was and I did the same with him.
For those of you who don't know David, he is a truck driver and is on the road a lot. He wishes he could be home more.  Before yesterday I have only met David once but it was really yesterday that I really noticed that he reminds me of my older cousin Billy on my dad's side.  Just by how he speaks, and how he jokes.  I must admit it made me smile seeing Jess and him together :)
You guys make a great couple.  Well anyway just like every other time everyone welcomed me with open arms.  One woman laughed and said
"We can't get rid of you, can we?" and she thanked me for continuing to come and smiled at me.  LOL The only thing that I can't seem to remember are these people's name's.  I wish there was a pamphlet with everyone's photos with their names printed so that I could work on them.  But sooner or later I'll get everyone's name's straightened out :)
But anyway we had the Sunday school class plus the mass and the sermon was about excuses.  Halfway during the sermon I wasn't feeling that great but I think it was due to that time of month so I didn't say anything.  I just figured eating some lunch would help but as soon as I got home I felt so light headed and so nauseous I had to lay down so blogging was out of the question.  I am happy to say that I am feeling better today.  There are a couple of times when a wave of dizziness hits me but quickly leaves.  I have a feeling it's due to that woman thing going on right now.  Thank goodness it's not Jess's wedding day LOL.  I better go.

                                      The M.S. walk experience
Well........ I did it, I walked the M.S walk and like I said on my last post it is an experience I will never forget.  My mom had dropped me off a little late so I wasn't able to get in the team photo but that didn't bother me because I don't look great in photos anyway but I was able to join Ashley and the rest of her team and be able to talk with them before the buses loaded up and transported us to our walking destination.  There were a couple people from our extended family there.  One was our cousin Jessica, and another was Ashley's nephew Michael and when I got on the bus I was joined by our cousin Charlotte who recently joined my blog.  She was the one I ended up walking next to all through the walk.
There were many people from different teams walking alongside us as well.  For the record we didn't have numbers like most marathons or walkathons.  When you checked in they gave you a sticker and on that sticker you put your name and the team or person you are walking for.  But anyway they also had these balloons that you could carry that said MOVE TO STOP M.S.  There were lots of kids and dogs  as well.  One family had a wagon and put their young children in and one woman carried her laughing daughter on her shoulders.  LOL that was funny to see because she kept on yelling for her mother to go faster so that she could be in the front :)
Well anyway like I said we loaded on school buses and the they transported us to our walking path.  So you know I thought it was 3 mile walk but it turned out to be a 4 mile walk.  Of course on the half way point there were school buses waiting for anyone who wanted to stop and there was water and apples and food all free of charge.  Overall it was a great experience and I thank Ashley for inviting me to join.  If you decide to do it again next year Ashley I am in!

                                     The final day of training
Wow I can't believe how time flies!  Tomorrow is finally the day that I will be walking in my cousin's M.S. walk and to find out if my hard work as far as my training as paid off.  For those of you who are adamant about watching the weather channel are probably thinking I am crazy for doing this because it is supposed to be rainy and cold tomorrow.  Yes the walk is still on rain or shine, Ashley put a notice on facebook letting everyone know who is coming.  Mom didn't seem to have any problem with it except with one thing rain protective clothing.
She said she is on the look out for a rain proof jacket.  I'll try and wear orange if I can feel something warm enough.  It's better to be warm than to worry about the color.  Like Ashley said an orange hat or bracelet would do.  But anyway today I will be walking so wish me luck, and wish me luck tomorrow I'll need it.  I can't back out after all the hard work I put in .
Of course it wasn't that hard of work because I walked around the neighborhood before hand and I walked 3 miles my second day shocking everyone but Hailee.  She believed I could do it from the beginning when I told her when I joined the walk.
"It's not like you are walking 17 miles you are walking 3 miles and the way you walk you can do it," she told me.  It should be quite an experience.  Stay tuned for an update.

                                       Receiving a very special postcard
Last night as I was watching America's Next Top Model with mom Nathan had came down stairs and dropped a post card in my lap.  I was really excited because only one person in our family sends post cards at this time and that is Ricky.  I think I told you this around valentine's day but he is in Mexico right now because he is in the peace corpse an he can't get on the internet whenever he wants and I don't even know the situation with the mail so the family gets excited whenever he sends postcards.  Ricky had started a blog but I don't know if he's going to continue. I don't know if he started it just to keep everyone informed of what it was like to be in Mexico not knowing what internet acess was going to be like or if he just doesn't have any desire or thought about it.  :D
Well anyway like I said on a previous post Ricky and I have a close relationship I even asked him to be my valentine and he agreed.  He said he was surprised that the boys aren't fighting over me in Ohio.  Well anyway the postcard had photo of the Mexican flag and in the letter it said it got voted the most beautiful flag of all.  In my opinion it doesn't get my vote.  Sorry Ricky :( Maybe it's colors but I think the american flag is prettier.
He only has months left before he can come home for good.  He says he will be done before Thanksgiving and he hopes to be able to come into town for Christmas and my birthday.  So that should be good stress relief for everyone, grandma has been worrying about him and is relieved when I tell her I talk to him through facebook.  In fact Ricky was one of the first to join my blog so thank you Ricky :p.  Well better get going mom just got home.

                                    Movie evening update
Boy what a fun evening we had last night.  As I said mom, grandma,  Katey, Joy, and I were having our dinner / movie night.  For those of you who are wondering if I was able to get down to the mall early to look at shoes that was achieved but Nathan was not the person who dropped me off.  James was the one who did it and it was exciting to take a ride in his new car.  I've got to say it's pretty snazzy and it was pretty neat to take a ride in it.
Well anyway when we got to the CLINIQUE counter mom had Joy took me to look at some dressy black sandals that mom and Katey had their eyes on.  One of them I had already seen because mom had text me a photo.  They were cute but I was afraid that they were going to come off.  I was about ready to give up totally on sandals and just wear flats when mom came over with the perfect sandals.  They have a back to them and they have a strap that goes across the ankle and it shimmers and they do sparkle.  Yes they so have a little bit of a heal but it's totally flat and I've walked around them enough that they feel fine.
So I guess you could say that would be the end of my list but it's not because as my mom was helping me put the sandals on she looked at my feet and and said,
"Heather you need a pedicure."  So I guess that's another thing I will be doing before the wedding.  Ahhhh when will it end? LOL.  Okay so anyway we ended up going to a new restaurant on the strip called Bone Fish.
The food was really good and of course grandma was there and we all had fun talking and catching up.  I found out some shocking news from Joy that came as a shock to me and in a way it made made feel angry.  Not angry at them but just angry at mom because I thought she knew about it for some time and had told Mark and everyone but it turned out I was wrong.  She just found out this news yesterday.  But anyway the movie was really good.  We had many additional faces join us at theater when we arrived.
I mean there are a few differences from the book but I'd expected that.  You can't expect the movie to be exactly like the book and it seems like people forget that.  Well anyway it was good.  I think I will be getting that movie for my DVD library.  So yes had a very good time.  I better get going.    Have a good day :)

An evening out with the girls
Has anyone had the chance to see The Lucky One yet?  If you haven't it's okay you still got plenty of time it just came out in theaters last Friday.  Both mom, grandma, and I have been aching to see that ever since we heard that there was going to be the movie based on the book.  Yes we all three had read the book because it was written by one of my favorite authors Nicholas Sparks.  For the record he has written books such as The Notebook
                                      A Walk To Remember and
Dear John and all three have been adapted into movies along with many others but there are other successful stories that he has written that haven't made it on the big screen yet such as The Guardian or The Rescue.  (The Rescue ) is my favorite book he has written.
I checked out Nicholas Sparks website and if you click on the book (The Rescue) it will give you what inspired him to create the novel and it turns out that it was his son who had this central auditory processing disorder (CAPD).  It is like dyslexia with the language skills instead of your reading skills so his son Ryan had an awful time speaking for a long while so his wife and him and had to work with him and now he says he's fine and is getting straight A's. :)  But anyway the main character has a son with a same problem and the main character's personality is a mixture on his and wife's.  I think the story also keeps me thinking of how it was for my parents  when I was younger when I was going through my testing and all that stuff, and I've got to say I am a bit starry eyed when I read about Taylor McAden.  The person who the main character falls for LOL he would be my ideal dream guy : D
Okay Okay enough of that, back to the girl night plans.  We will be going to see the movie after we get a bite to eat.  So you know in addition to grandma and mom Joy and Katey will be coming.  We will have a blast and it will be great to see grandma after not seeing her for so long.  She had just come home from Florida.  Hope she doesn't complain about the weather. :(  Well better go hop in the shower.  If I get dropped off the mall a little early by Nathan I might have be crossing off another thing off my to do  list.  Stay tuned for an update on the movie and the night.

                                         A very windy walk
Jeez it sure has been one windy and nippy day out there hasn't it?  Yes I still toughened up and took my walk.  As I keep on mentioning I have been in training and these 6 days are the ones that really count since the walk is finally occurring Saturday and I made myself realize a while back that the weather may not be all sunny and warm, it may be be cold and a little windy like it was today or it could possibly be drizzling so I said unless it's storming, or pouring down sheets of rain, I am walking and sure enough that's what's what I did but unfortunately I can't tell you how far I walked because I didn't realize my nano was battery was so low and it ran out on me but I think I overcome it.  Yes it was real cold at first but after ten minutes of walking I started to warm up.  I must admit it felt bit lonely and quiet when my nano died but then I just occupied myself with my thoughts.
It does help if you have a walking buddy with you.  Too bad Jess didn't live closer or we could walk together more LOL.  Mom even said that to me on our first warm sunny day when Jess and I were taking a walk at the same time but she was being accompanied with her mom at her neighborhood and I was taking my walk around my neighborhood.  For the record when I am walking with someone I do not listen to my nano because I don't want to ignore the person, I want to be able to enjoy their company and sometimes I feel like my music can get in the way of that so I doubt I will have my music with me at event.  Well anyway I couldn't help but smile as I walked passed the St. Ives pond and saw two ducks swimming side by side together.
I don't know what it is about them but I love ducks but not geese.  People ask me what I still miss about being at my dad's house on lake cable and I think I miss not seeing the ducks waddling around in the spring with their mates trying to find a nest and seeing the ducklings out with their mothers during the summer.  But anyways it was nice to see a couple ducks after not seeing them for some time LOL. Well I better get going, Have a good night everyone.

                                         Second church visit; musical chairs
Well as you could probably could tell I went to church again and it went as well as the last time.  Just like last time everyone was happy to see me. :)  The only difference was that Jess didn't have to go around and introduce me like she did the last time.  The sermon was about The Bread of Life.  It was real interesting because it really made you think of how devoted you are and if you believe.
Yes, I did go to the sunday school class.  I don't remember who it was but someone didn't recognize me when I walked in and when Jess went to the bathroom she looked at me and asked
"Are you the same friend that accompanied Jessie last week?"  I nodded and she laughed and apologized.  She said she didn't recognize me because I had my hair down today.  For the record I had worn my hair in a pony tail last week.  LOL I wasn't too surprised, I thought I was going to have some of those reactions.
I Do look different with my hair down.  For the record people who know both my parents real well argue who I look like and it seems like whenever I wear my hair up I look more like my mom and when I wear it down I look more like my dad.  Confusing I know, LOL but Jess loves my hair down so that's how I am wearing it at her wedding.  Well anyway after service we were on our way to lunch at a Mexican restaurant.   LOL boy what an experience that was.  Bobbi had came with Emma and her little brother Caleb before they hit the road to head back to their hometown.
When we got seated BOTH Emma and  Caleb were sidetracked with this child cartoon called Captain planet that was playing on a near by TV..  Bobbi was trying to get them occupied in the conversation but it didn't work.  Emma was originally seated by Jess but because of having trouble focusing on the TV she asked if she could sit in the empty seat next to me and sure enough she did.  Good thinking on her part and she's only 6.  So that was the first move.
The second move was when the food arrived.  Caleb was still focused on the show so he had to be moved away from his spot which was on the other side of Jess and moved so that he could eat and I gave him my seat, so yeah move two.   I didn't know what Caleb didn't like about his meal but he was starting to whine to the point where both Bobbi and pastor D had switch so that Bobbi could beside Caleb. Move three so yes I guess we were playing musical chairs without the music LOL.  So anyway it was another fun church visit. :)  Hope you recover soon from your tiredness Jess.  Oh I crossed off another thing on my to do list and that is finding a shirt for the m.s walk.  Mom said I can use one of her orange clinique tee shirts.  :)
Yay now lets see all that is left are the shoes and keep training and attending my eye appointment for my glasses.  Well I better get going Have a nice afternoon.

                                       Bridal shower update
Well now that I have gotten home from the bridal shower I can give you an update on how it all went.  I was happy to say that it was a nice and fun shower and Linzy and Jill and whoever else organized it did a great job.  When I walked in Linzy was at the front to greet us and than I was greeted by Jess.  Jess looked beautiful as always in a purple dress with a white jacket and white shoes and she had invited me to sit at her table along with her soon to be sister in law Bobbi, mother in law Lula, and the adorable flower girl Emma, plus many more guests.  For a while there was just talking and laughing and the food came out.  For the record there wasn't a huge meal there was just finger food such as cruscent sandwiches, and chicken fingers, and these bread slices with cucumber and tomato slices on top, and a fruit cup.
After a bit we all introduced ourselves and the games began.  For the record we played two games.  One game was matching the couple.  Where we got a paper filled with different names and we had to fill in their spouse and the winner got a prize.  Some of the couples were: Barbie and Ken
                                                                                                                     Selena Gomez and Justin Beiber
                                                                                                                   Mickey and Minnie
plus many more.  So you know I didn't do well in that game because there was a time limit.  Than the second game was called How well do you know the bride.  All the guests were handed a paper that had questions that had to do with Jess such as What is Jessica's favorite color?  LOL I didn't do so well on that game either.  There were some questions that I didn't even think to ask Jess such as her favorite food. I didn't know that her favorite food was soup LOL but neither did many of the other guests.  But the guest who got the most answers right won a prize the same as before.
After the games ended it was time to open presents.  LOL little Emma  seemed eager to help with that.  She sat on the steps with Jess as Linzy handed over the gifts.  It seemed liked Linzy was a hard time trying to catch all the wrapping paper and ribbon that Emma was tossing on the ground so I decided to help.  So between the two of us we got the wrapping paper and ribbon in the trash bags.
She got some nice things as you would normally would at a bridal shower.  She got coffee maker, oven mitts, plates, coffee cups ect.  For the record my gift was a juicer.  When we had a couple minutes alone she smiled and said,
"I can't believe I have a juicer."  I just laughed and said I just had to get it when I saw it and she said that was one of the first items I wanted ever since I got engaged.  I was very glad that she liked it :)  Well anyway after the gifts everyone just spread out and talked.  Christie (Jessie's kind mother) asked me what I had been up to and I of course told her LOL.  So anyway I will be attending church service with Jess tomorrow once again. Hope she doesn't think I am a tag along LOL.:)  Well I that's about it till next time. One week till the M.S. walk.

Running around with mom; another fun day with Katey
Well mom had her day off and that meant tackling another item of my to do list which was to get the bridal shower gift and that's what we did so now I can cross that item of the to do list.  So lets see all there is left is 1. find black shoes
                              2. find an orange shirt for the walk which I am not concerned about.  Like I said on my previous post Ashley said if I can't find one it's not the end of the world.  She said even a orange bracelet or a hat would be fine so wish me luck.
                           3. complete the training.  So yeah not much of a list so everything is coming together.
Okay Okay after we left Bed Bath and Beyond we went to pick up Katey at her apartment. Mom had called her and she found out that she was also off so we had invited her over for dinner and she was for it.  For the record we are grilling hamburgers tonight.  Whenever we decide to have hamburgers mom or Mark always try to go to Giant Eagle and get their delicious burgers.
I think I have blogged about them in another post.  They have all different kinds such as bacon cheddar, blue cheese, plus many more.  They are to die for but in my opinion no one beats dad's.  Well anyway in addition I am making my broccoli salad and mom is fixing corn on the cob, plus we are fixing tater tots and wafle fries but I am not touching those LOL.  But even though Katey is here I have to do my training.  I was so tired yesterday I just didn't have the energy to go so I took yesterday off.
So that means I can't blow off today even though it's tempting because Katey is here and I just want to visit but she's staying the night so it's not like she's not going to be here when I get home right? LOL.  Well I better go.  Stay tuned for the updates about Jessie's bridal shower.  I am so looking forward to meeting some of the guests and bridesmaids. :)

                                     Discovering new emotions/training update
A few months ago as  Jess and I were texting an interesting thought came to me.  "I don't know how to text smiley faces or any other emotion like she does and I wanted to learn but I kept on putting it off but not anymore.  Today I went online and typed: How do you text a smiley face and sure enough there came a list of websites of text emotions and how to text them and what they meant.  Of course everyone knows :-) means a smiley face but did you know that :-* means kiss.  LOL I am sure Jess uses that emotion a lot to her beloved David.  Sorry Jess I had to get you I don't think I have teased you about David yet so I am allowed.
I did text dad a little smiley face today when we were texting but he got scared because I sent him the wrong message.  He said he received a text with symbols all over and it freaked him out.  He immediately called me and asked me if I was all right.  LOL he always has to check on his baby girl doesn't he? LOL.
Well anyway I am sure you guys are wondering how I am doing on my training.  I am doing great!  As you all know the walk is on April 28th and right now I am even watching what I am eating and yes that means no junk food.  Joy had given me a beautiful purse along with a cup and in that cup were my favorite candy which are Reeses peanut butter cups but they were basically all melted and I just had to toss them.  Yes I could have put them in the freezer and saved them for later but they wouldn't have lasted and with the walk so close and plus the bridal shower on Saturday  which I am going to allow myself to cheat I decided to throw them away so I wouldn't be attempted to cheat beforehand LOL sry Joy.
Just so you know I walked 3.41 mi yesterday.  I am going to kick butt at that walk.  Well better go have a nice evening everyone.

                                       My to do list
Boy it seems like I have been so busy lately trying to figure out what has to be done for Jess's bridal shower, and wedding plus the MS walk.  In a way I feel like I am in school and my mind is whirling.  LOL it's amazing how much you need to get done for events like this.  These are some of the things that are on my to do list: 1. Ask mom to make schedule a eye Dr's appointment for my new glasses.  As you can see she had already did and the appointment is on May 8th.  Mom is really excited and told me that I am going to have some new stylish black glasses for the wedding.
                                  2. Find my black shoes for the wedding.  Like I said before she has been on the look out on her breaks and been sending me photos of different kinds.  Like I said she said she is going to bring me in to look at different varieties.
                                3. pick out Jess's bridal shower gift which falls this Saturday.
                                4. try to find an orange shirt to wear for the M.S. walk, but Ashley said if I can't find one it's not the end of the world.  LOL so in addition to training to that's what my to do list.  Well I better get going.  Have a wonderful day!

                                Wedding preparations/alarming speed
when  I came home from the church mass yesterday I thought it was going to be returning to my usual activities which are watching TV, taking a walk, reading my book and of course working on my novel and blogging but as I was watching TV my mom got a call from Katey and I guess she was feeling a little down so mom went to go get her.  Of course whenever she visits we always have fun and we always end up talking about a specific topic and this time it was about Jess's wedding.  Katey had asked to see the dress I will be wearing in the wedding which I was surprised that she hadn't seen yet.  I thought I had already shown it to her when I had shown it to Joy and Hailee the weekend that mom and Mark had gone to Mountaineer but I guess I was wrong LOL.  But anyway Katey fell in love with it and immediately asked about the shoes and how I will be wearing my hair.
I had told her that were allowed to pick out our own shoes but they had to be black.  Katey got really excited and is helping mom on the shoe hunt but mom said she will bring me in so I can look at different varieties.  Mom said Dillards has some nice dressy sandals and flats similar to these silver pair that I have.  But anyway as we were talking mom looked at my glasses and said that I needed a new pair.  She said I should look for a dressy black pair that match my shoes and she's going to make an appointment with the eye DR so that we can have that taken care of.
So yeah still so much to do LOL but I love it.  But anyway last night I made the stupid mistake of not turning off my phone alarm and the silly part was I left my phone in my purse and my mom thought someone was calling at first before they found out it was in alarm.  When I heard it I got up from my bed in a flash and went to retrieve the phone and as was running I literally almost tripped over my right foot.  LOL and my heart was thumping.  If I still had my seizures I would proably would had one but I didn't and that's GREAT!  silly me for not turning off that alarm and not for not having my phone with me at all times but that's what I get!  Well better get going.  Have a good day.

                                 Church update
Boy what a fun day I had today!  As you all known today was the day I was  excited and nervous about.  Yes I was going to church with Jess.  Jess had orginally was planning on picking up around 8:25 but had arived early due to thinking that my place was thirty minutes out of the way from the church which was not the case so to pass the time we went to Starbucks to get a coffee.  We had a joy talking as we drank our beverages and talked about what was going on.  She shared what she had learned as far as her special education teaching class and what she still had needed to do for her wedding and plus many other things.  I had shared some ideas about my novel and ect and we just did a lot of giggling.
LOL we sure do giggle a lot don't we Jess?  I don't think we can ever break that habit.  It's so funny because it's always been a habit of ours since we became friends in middle school.  Of course we are grown women and we are talking of more practical things such as weddings, careers, or religion but it is one of the childish habits we haven't stopped LOL. Well anyway back to the church topic when we got there Jess and I were greeted by guests.
I was greeted by the pastor AKA Jess's soon to be father in law and his sweet wife and many other sweet guests.  LOL there are so many I can't quite remember there names.  I remember th sitting next to a kind woman in the sunday school class named Joy and meeting this woman named Catherine.  This boy named Michael also introduced himself before taking his seat.  For the record we talked about the book of Revelation in Sunday school and the pastor talked about Soul Food in his sermon.  He did a good job and there were some beautful songs sung.
It was nice to leave knowing that some of the guests wanted me to return.  I am open to it and no Jess I am just saying that because you are his soon to be daughter in law.  I am glad to have come.  Well better go.  It is such a pretty day out I just can't waste it sitting in here.  I got to walk my 3 miles.  Have a nice day!  LOL I had to change the background again.  I guess I couldn't live without my clouds.  The more more I thought about it the Clinique seemed a little much.

                                Latch hooking / Training update
Have any of you heard of latch hooking?  For those of you who know me real well know that I have started latch hooking at such a young age.  For the record I used to love drawling, using, glitter ect but as I got older I wanted to a craft such as cross stitching but unfortunately that wasn't for me so mom introduced me to latch hooking and ever since than it has been my thing.  I have made some beautiful rugs and pillows and gave them as gifts to people.  LOL in fact I taught my english teacher Mrs. Lamp to do it as part as my how to speech in 10th grade and I ended up getting an  A.
For the record I ended up giving that one to the school secretary Mrs. Snyder.  She had  made it into a pillow and put it in the school office.  She still had it there when I went to Hoover for a visit.  For the record I had also made grandma a sunflower rug for Christmas but unfortunately it got stepped on much she had to throw it away  She kind of felt bad and she apologized but in a way it made me feel good because it got some use.  For the record I am making her another but unfortunately I can't blog about that it is just in case they read this blog.
No, they don't have a computer but I know his twin brother Robert has one and is on facebook and they know that I have been blogging so I know they can get on and check it out so I can't risk it LOL.  I mean I know I am telling about latch hooking gift but they don't know about the design I am latching.  There are only a few who really know what it is.  Okay Okay enough of latch hooking I am sure you are wondering how I am doing with my training for Ashley's walk.
I am happy to say that I have been walking 3 miles around the neighborhood maybe more.  The fitness feature only goes so high before it stops and that's at 4 miles.  This walk should be a piece of cake by the way I keep on going.  I will let you know how it all goes.  Well better stop for now.  Have a nice day everyone.

Grilled cheese sandwich anyone?/special church invite
Did anyone know that today is national grilled cheese sandwich day?  I just found that out today when I was watching Good morning America with my mom.  For the record she watches it almost every day.  I got to admit there are some interesting stories, show some funny videos, and have some inspiring people and pets on there at times LOL so I will watch it when I am drinking my morning coffee with mom.  But anyway today I had learned that today it was national grilled cheese sandwich day and everyone was enjoying a different kind of a grilled cheese sandwich LOL.  I looked at mom and laughed and suggested we should make them for dinner tonight.
She seemed to like the idea and we might be having open faced grilled cheese bagel sandwiches tonight.  So yeah we might be having breakfast.  Mom wants to make her cheesy grits that she absolutely loves but I am not thrilled about so yeah it looks like dinner tonight is going to be all about cheese which I am sure will please Mark.  LOL he LOVES cheese.  He seems to put cheese on everything it sometimes makes me sick LOL.  Sorry Sam if I offended you LOL.
Okay well anyway for those of you who are wondering about the church invite, that was from Jess. She had text me inviting me to another bridal shower that her church was throwing for her but unfortunately I can't come to that one because that falls on mom's birthday. so we started texting and she asked if I was open into coming to soon to be father in law's church for a service and I said I would.  She assured me that I would not be criticized so I am open.  I must admit I am a little nervous but I just can't let it get to me.  Can't be any worse then my uncle's church where that pastor made fun of me and told me I was dumb and that god didn't love me right?  I just have to think positive and not dwell on that experience so hopefully it will go well.  I better get going I need to walk my 3 miles and my MP3 player is all charged.

                                    A noticeable change
If you guys didn't notice the little subtle changes the last time I made on my blog design you probably just noticed the background has changed.  LOL yes I just thought it was time for a change and even though I love clouds I was always looking at them.  Even my phone had a photo of clouds so I said no more clouds LOL so I just started browsing through photos and I saw the CLINIQUE 3 step logo photo that mom had taken and I remember saying in my very first post that I would update a photo that has to do with CLINIQUE to honor mom and Joy all those people but unfortunately it would not let me so I thought why not a personalized background instead.  I know many of you proably are thinking well CLINIQUE is not really Heather but it is.  I use CLINIQUE, my mom is a manager, so I am a CLINIQUE girl and I am for it LOL.  Don't fret the sunflower photo is staying.  I am not touching that sunflower photo LOL.  Well better sign off Mark just got home.

                                    Training resumes; Easter update
Well Easter is over and it is time to get back to get back into training for the my cousin's walk a than.  I had taken a couple of days off because a day of going to dad's.  For the record I had found my walking shoes that I will be wearing.  My mom had bought me these nice walking shoes a while back but I hadn't had the chance to wear them very often because I was still really attached to my Sketchers shape ups but unfortunately I wore them so often they wore out so I had to throw them away.  I am trying to break them in so they won't be so tight to slip into.  For the record mom bar laced my shoes so I don't have to worry about tying my shoe laces.
So yes after I am done here I am going to walk my 3 miles.  I hope everyone had fun Easter.  I can't complain about my Easter LOL.  It was kind of slow at first and everyone did there own thing.  LOL I must say dad is a little obsessed with his new smart phone and his ability to text and it seemed like all morning both our phones were going off.  Dad told me that everyone laughed when they received his first text message from him.  Like I said they never expected him to text before LOL.
Well anyway I started texting "Happy Easter to a bunch of family members and friends and I started getting responses.  After awhile the texting it calmed down and we started doing our own thing. James was on the computer, dad was in the living room watching a golf tournament and I was in his room watching The Love Saga on the Hallmark Channel.  Just in case you are wondering what The Love Saga is it series of movies that is based on The Love Come Softly series by Janette Oke.  It is so similar to Little House On the Prairie and the films are directed by Michael Landon Jr the creator of the Little House On The Prairie.  But anyway the Love Come Softly series films are different than the books.
Many people like to compare the Little House series to the Love series since they are similar but I can't.  I like them both just the same.  But anyway back to Easter, later on when Nathan and Hailee came over we had dinner.  Dad had fixed carbonarra along with some garlic bread but he kept on laughing at Hailee because she kept on eating around the sausage, peppers, baccon, mushrooms, and all the other ingredients and just eating the pasta.  He started laughing and said that was the first and said the next time he will just make her buttered noodles LOL.
The reason why she didn't eat that much was because she had already had eaten before she already ate with her family before she came over.  Just in case you are wondering about Joy she didn't join us.  I think she spent it with her family.  Dad seemed glad that she was absent and that he mentioned that she would eat the whole pot of pasta.  Joy mentioned that he once called her a human dump.  After dinner I headed home with Nathan.  I never did go to Rachel's because of how late we ended up eating but even though I never did make it to Rachel's it was still a fun so I can't complain.  Well better get going.  Just in case you didn't receive a text or a phone call from me Happy Easter to all the followers!

                                              Receiving a shocking surprise!
Wow what a shocking and funny day it has been so far.  For all of those who have been following know that today dad was picking me up and I was spending Easter over there but I wasn't expecting to receive a text message saying : Pick you up soon. I have texting now it's daddy. I was in total shock and I burst out laughing and I text back: That's sure surprising and he responded Ya I'm the man now baby.  I guess the reason why it shocks me is that he used to be so against it.  Whenever he would see James, Nathan, or I texting he would flip up his phone and pretend to be doing it then tell us it was a waste of time and money.
But as I got in the car I noticed he had a new smart phone  and he said the person who he works for, Tim gave to him and pays the bill so dad canceled his other phone.  Dad admitted then that texting can be convenient such as work and a lot of other things.  He says he can only text with one finger because he has such huge hands but I don't see any problem with that, that's the way I text LOL.  I asked how he likes the phone and he admitted there are some things that he still misses about his old one but I just think he just needs to get learn to adjust just like I will when I get a DROID or a smart phone but that won't be for a while yet and I am happy with the phone I have.  Well anyway he has planned all the meals out just like the last time.   Tonight we are having his homemade hamburgers along with tatar tots.
I must admit I am not thrilled with the tatar tots but my dad said he hasn't had them in 12 years ever since he moved out of the house when we were little.  He is going to do them in the fryer that we got him for father's day a couple years ago.  Tomorrow we are having carbonara which everyone is looking forward to.  I have a feeling that this Easter might be a fun one after all.  All I have to do is keep thinking positive LOL.
Just in case you were wondering about dinner last night it we had a great time or at least I did.  Mark and I went over to Rachel's around 5 and brought the soup that mom had prepared that morning along with some bread sticks, crackers, and a sea fish dip that was so die for. After a while the place seemed to get crowded.  Originally it was just going to be Mark, mom, Rachel, and her fiance Mark.  LOL I know two Marks it's confusing for everyone else but me.  Well because I think of my mom's fienace as a best friend more than a step father and since he calls me Frodo I call him Sam which is Frodo's best friend in the lord of the ring's movie but more on that later for the rest of the people it's harder.  They either have to say Lisa's Mark or Rachel's Mark.  Good thing we are not around each other that often.
But later on aunt Millie and uncle Gary came along with their grandson Anthony.  LOL I swear that kid is a ball of energy but sure is cute.  A little later mom arrived along with (Rachel's) Mark's two daughters Natalie and Page. Anthony had fun playing with them while we made the bread and heated the soup and prepared the dinner.  Rachel was really excited to share with us what she had done to the new room to her house.  For the record Rachel is pregnant and is due in August.
Yes I had known for awhile but I was asked not to say anything and she is letting the news spread.  The room that she has put together is beautiful and I know she will be a great mother.  She has a feeling it is going to be a boy and we were talking about names last night.  I guess they are having a disagreement on the name.  She likes Peter but Mark doesn't.  He's afraid that people are going to call him Peter Eater.  She's afraid that she might have to let that name go.  As for me I  just can't wait to find out what it is.  Well I better go I hope everyone has a fantastic Easter

                                    Easter plans/baking with Rachel
Well it's good Friday and Easter is just around the corner.  I can hardly believe it.  LOL it seems like I am always saying that lately but you are probably wondering what I will be doing.  So you know I will be spending it with dad this year.  He will pick me up tomorrow and I will stay the night and I will head home after dinner Easter evening.
Mom asked why I am not staying till Monday and the reason is that he has somewhere to go on business but I am not that disappointed.  I told my mom and my grandma yesterday that this is the first time in a long time that I am not looking forward to Easter and I basically told them that dad was the answer.  See it seems like my dad just doesn't want to do anything anymore, he just wants to sit around the house and he can't seem to get used to the idea that I'm seizure free.  He seems to expect that I am going to go up to him and say,
"I don't feel well."  I mean there are some differences, he doesn't check on me every minute when I am in the bathroom like he used to.  But anyway grandma asked me the last time I had been to Youngstown which is where my dad's family is located and I told her the last time I was there was when I turned 21.  Mom seemed a little upset and mentioned that dad should take me in to visit family but unfortunately there are some issues on his side that I don't want to bring up.  Both of his parents  passed away a few years back and ever since then things have gone downhill.  My grandma had told me that there are cases that once the parents pass the kids go their separate ways and in a way I think that's what's happened.
It seems like the only person who he really keeps in contact with is my uncle Bill and his side of the family.  Okay well anyway I am just uncertain about this Easter for some reason but I just got to think positive LOL.  Nathan said he'll be coming over so that should be fun.  For the record Mark and mom will be going to brunch with Mark's family and than going to Rachel's.  Mom said we'll keep in contact and if we eat early enough I might get dropped off at Rachel's but anything can change LOL.
I will let you know how it all turns out.  So you know tonight we are going to Rachel's house for dinner and to bake some easter bread.  Just in case you don't know what easter bread is it is bread with ricotta cheese, ham, and many other ingredients.  My great grandmother used to make it and they always make her recipe.  Mom is going to send me some along to dad's.
We are planning on having New england clam chowder and bread sticks for dinner.  Just in case you are wondering how my training for the walkathon is going I made my goal of walking 3 miles around the neighborhood already LOL.  Can you believe that?  When I told my grandma about the walk and how it was a 3 mile walk and just like mom she was about to protest but before she could I told her I walked the three miles and she just laughed and said,
"Can't is not an option for you is it?  I just laughed and said not with my determination.  Well better get going I do have a little bit of laundry to do.

                                           Training Begins
A few weeks ago as I was checking my facebook status I noticed that I got a friend request from my cousin Ashley but when I accepted it I didn't have any clue as to what she was planning until I saw some of her posts about her MS awareness walk that she was organizing.  My heart beat with excitment because it was my chance to participate in a walkathon just like I have always wanted and the location was perfect so I sent a notice to Ashley telling her that I was interested in joining the walk.  She replied that she would like to have me but that it is a 3 mile walk and that I was free to stop at the half way point if I wanted to.  It was almost like she thought I couldn't do it and I laughed and I replied I am going to start and I am going to finish, with a little training I can do it.  Yesterday when I asked mom if it was okay to do this walk she said it was more than OK but I will have to practice and I nodded and smiled and I said I'm doing it now and yes, that means I am still walking.
It's funny because the other day I tried my fitness feature on my MP3 player.  It tracks how many steps you walked, Distance, Time, ect.  For the record the other day I walked 2.86 mi and took 5,121 steps and burned 227 calories.  Pretty amazing huh it seemed to surprise mom lol. It seems like I always surprise everyone in cases like that because when 3 miles seemed to sound like a lot to her but maybe because she doesn't walk as much as I do.  Unfortunately though 2.86 mi wasn't 3 miles and my goal is to walk 3 miles around our neighborhood before the walk but I have till the 28th to achieve that goal so wish me luck! Do any of you notice the changes I made in the blog?  I kind of like it I know it's not that much but I like the little change LOL.

My time alone with the LORD
As I was pulling out a sweatshirt from my closet yesterday I noticed that my beautiful bible had dropped to the floor.  I had the urge to pick it up and hug it almost like I was hugging god asking him to forgive me for not praying like I used to.  For the record a couple of years a go I used to prey just about every night asking him to watch over for my friends and family and just to forgive me for everything that I had done wrong and that I trusted him in what he had planned for my life ect but at that time I was living with dad and he seemed to understand more than my mom did because we attended church weekly and I must admit I felt weird kneeling beside my bed and preying when I moved back in with mom, when I have Nathan living in the house just in case he came in on me in the middle of my prayer and I don't have a lock on my door LOL.  For the record I don't say my prayers allowed but just the way I would look I would be afraid someone would laugh.  Well anyway for the record grandma and grandpa gave me a precious moments bible a few years a go on my birthday.
No it's not a children's bible but it has the precious moments illustrations in it and the bible has my name in gold in the front.  As I hugged it  I made a commitment and that commitment is to read a scripture along with say a little prayer every day and I am going to stick to it.  The good lord listens to wherever a body prays.  So I said my first prayer in a long time last night and it felt a feeling of love and kindness and I look forward to saying many more more prayers and reading many more scriptures.

                                       Weekend update
Well it's Monday and the fun weekend has come to an end.  In a way I am relieved and in a way I am sad.  This weekend had turned out different from what we had originally planned. Friday went as planned.  Joy had the day off and brought her dogs Boggart and Bella to play along with lunch.  When she text me originally she was going to be there around 1 but due needing to get laundry done she ended up getting here an hour and a half late maybe later LOL.
Mark seemed a little worried and was asking every 10 minutes where she was when she didn't come on time.  LOL he seems to get a little worried when someone doesn't show up on time but that just shows what a loving caring person he is.  Anyway I felt pretty bad for Onyx because he started to whine when he heard mom zip up her suit case and when Mark carried them to the car.  He differentially knew that they were leaving but I am sure that seeing Boggart and Bella cheered him up.  For the record she had brought over fruit and things for a salad and we just socialized and watched the dogs play and ate our lunch.
Later that evening Katie came home and we decided to order a pizza and hang around the house and relax.  For the record we did not do our original plan which was go see a movie.  Okay Saturday we threw the birthday party for Hailee but the original plan was to have no boys allowed including Nathan or James but that plan backfired.  Joy had invited James which didn't concern me but than Nathan of course had to be included which of course concerned me.  Of course Nathan is that college stage now and yes I mean the drinking stage.
James and him got into a huge fight that scared the daylights out of me last year around the same time that had been due to them getting drunk and I was scared that was going to happen again but that didn't happen.  James could even sense how nervous I was by the dazed look on my face and he assured me nothing was going to happen and sure enough it didn't.  Yes they did drink, but no fight erupted like the last time thank the lord.  Nathan only had one friend over along with Hailee's girl friend Jana so it was well controlled and fun.  James had ended up making chicken Parmesan and I made the birthday cake.
I made a layered ice cream cake and it looked a lot complicated than it actually was.  Both James and Katey were skeptical at first thinking it was going to be an all day project and using cartons of ice cream but it wasn't.  The layers were ice cream sandwiches, whipped cream, crushed butter fingers and carmal and chocolate syrup.  I got the recipe out of this e book that I read earlier about a family with 19 children.  But the cake was a hit and I got comments saying that it was better than the Dairy Queen cakes.
It's going to be my birthday cake.  My mom even liked it and she doesn't like chocolate so that surprised me LOL and that made me happy.  Well anyway yesterday was a relaxing day until Mark and mom arrived home.  We made our own pizzas and just had a blast.  In my opinion I think yesterday was probably the most fun day for me but not for Katie.
She was not feeling that great and was not feeling that well Saturday either.  Hope she feels better soon but despite being sick I hope she had a good weekend along with Joy and Hailee.  Hope we can do it again sometime.
