Wedding updates
Well it's official Jessie is married to her beloved David and they are on their honeymoon. Now that the rehearsal and wedding day is passed I can officially give you updates on both. I will first start with the rehearsal dinner, remember on a previous post I had written on my to do list to attend the rehearsal and wedding on time, well Mark and I got lost and it led me to call Jessie which led to David talking to Mark well to make a long story short I DID finally get there. For the record I didn't miss any of the rehearsal. They were about ready to start when I walked in and when they saw me Lula said I arrived just in time.
For the record we rehearsed it two times and to make it easier Jessie's father in law Dave put masking tape on the floor so that we would know where to stand. He even suggested putting our names on them but we didn't think it was necessarily if we just paid attention to who we stood next to. It was pretty easy. I was next to this tall girl Emma and this very petite girl with short blonde hair, Bobbi. For the record I was the second one to go down the aisle and there were only four bridesmaids.
We all came down by ourselves and then met with our partners and we went up two steps and separated. The ring bare and flower girl came down and took a seat beside their father in the pew. The rehearsal went well and as went to dinner Dave said that my partner and I made an excellent pair because we both made a mistake in getting there. He went to the wrong church, and I got lost. He than looked at me and pointed his finger in a teasing manner and said,
"No getting lost tomorrow young lady,: and I nodded. After dinner of pizza and salad we played games. For the record I had played APPLES to APPLES with Jessie, Bobbie, Darren (Bobbie's husband, Lula, and three others. For the record Darren had won. Then I had figured it was time to be picked up so I made the call.
So you know the wedding was beautiful. No, I did not get lost and I even told that to Dave when I saw him and he said that's because your mother brought you. Jess did not let the groom see her until she walked down the aisle but he really wanted to. She wouldn't even let him into the nursery where she was hiding after she had her makeup on to give her a kiss. Poor David :( but I am sure he was surprised when he saw her walk down the aisle.
In fact I saw him pull out a tissue or a hankie to dab his eyes a couple times. Well anyway the bouquets were light pink roses, and Jessie's was a mixture between white and dark pink, similar to our dresses. Well anyway it was a nice wedding and reception. The reception was nice. Jess and and David danced to a song from Cinderella So this is Love. I thought that was the perfect choice :) I have that song on my mp3 player and listen to it from time to time.
I also liked the father daughter dance song they chose. Overall it was a great day and I wish them both the best of luck :) Jess you couldn't have picked a better guy.
